Manpreet is a Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Bar Association of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT). He has been associated with Big 4 firms in the past in different capacities.
He has an experience of more than a decade of uninterrupted professional experience in dealing with tax and regulatory matters. His areas of expertise include advising tax effective alternatives, evaluation and optimization of tax exposure in business transactions, complying with various corporate tax laws and handling litigation matters. He has been regularly representing various clients before Assessment Authorities, Dispute Resolution Panel, Appellate Authorities and Income Tax Appellate Tribunal. He has also had the privilege of working with some of the best known lawyers of our country on tax matters before various High Courts and Supreme Court of India.
He is also the Editor and Department Head for our in-house newsletters and publications.
During his uninterrupted professional career of over two decades, Neeraj has advised several domestic and multinational companies from various sectors, on a range of issues including International/ Domestic Tax, Transfer Pricing, Regulatory & Policy matters. Some of the core sectors, where he has extensively worked are Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Hospitality and E-commerce. He has advised medium to large multinational companies on cross border taxation, Indian tax and regulatory regime both on inbound and outbound investment.
He has also represented clients before various tax and appellate authorities across the country on the Direct as well as Indirect Tax and FEMA matters.
In his professional experience, Neeraj has been associated with various medium and large tax practices including RSM & Co. (now PWC) and Nangia Andersen as a Partner for 10 years. In the year 2016 Neeraj founded MNA, a boutique consulting firm. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Science and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Neeraj is a regular speaker at various forums like Chambers of Commerce, trade bodies and tax events organized by International Tax Review etc.
Tapas has 30+ years of practice in the area of direct & international tax. Besides advisory work, he has had considerable experience in tax litigation and helped form an appropriate litigation strategy as also in arguing matters before appellate authorities, tax tribunals, High Courts and the Supreme Court.
He was recognized as a "Leading Individual in the Tax field by Chambers & Partners in Chambers & Partners Asia 2011 and 2012.
In his years of practice. Tapas has been Executive Partner with Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan (L&S), heading the Direct Tax practice, a founding partner of Indus law from August 2007 to October 2012 Director and Head of Tax Litigation with RSM & CO. (Delhi) from February 2005 to March 2007, and Director, Tax and Regulatory Services with Price WaterhouseCoopers from April 2007 to August 2007. He was a leading tax lawyer with Vaish Associates, New Delhi from 1990 to 2005.
