Akbar Ali

Born in 1954 in Natore in the North Bengal, Mr. Md. Akbar Ali had a peaceful childhood in a tranquil village. He had gone to the village Schools for his education. He did well in his academics. He graduated in Arts in 1979 and earned a Master's Degree in Social Science from Rajshahi University. Mr.Md.Akbar Ali is a career banker, started his career as a Probationary Officer of Janata Bank, a state-owned bank in 1980. In the Bank, he got the opportunity to work in branch baking and at policy-making levels in different divisions of the Head Office. After twenty years of relentless service in Janata Bank, he moved to a Private Bank, Social Islami Bank Ltd (SIBL). In both the banks he spent most of his career in managing and developing human resources in the Human Resources Divisions. Human resources planning, recruitment, preparing job duties, job needs analysis, training, motivation, compensations, etc. have been the major functions he had successfully performed over the years. Mr.Md.Akbar Ali also obtained a degree in business management, MBA in 2007. He got a professional Diploma from the Bangladesh Institute of Bankers. In 2012 he obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) of the Asia Pacific University. He also has a membership of the Bangladesh Bar Council as an Advocate to practice law. In his banking career spanning over 38 years, he became a Senior Executive Vice President of the Bank. He completed his terms with SIBL in May 2018. Following that year he joined Metal as Group Head of Human Resources and Senior General Manager. Mr. Md Akbar Ali is married to Ms. Ramija Ali and has three children.

Aminul Islam

Considered the lifeline of the Corporate, Engineer Aminul Islam was born on February 11, 1945 in Barisal, Bangladesh. He was born to late Alhaj Mubassairuddin and late Jamila Khatun of Barisal. He is married to Ms. Najma Islam and has three wonderful daughters. He graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1965. Soon after graduation Engineer Aminul Islam joined the government Department of Civil Engineering. The skill and ability of the young engineer outshone others and he was made the project-in-charge of the Chittagong Cement Clinker Grinding Factory in 1967. When the Factory went into production in 1974, he was appointed the General Manager of the Factory. Within two years he put in place everything about the smooth functioning of the Factory and he was transferred to take over as the Chief Engineer of the Bangladesh Mineral Exploration and Development Corporation. The year 1978 was critically important in his whole career as he decided to leave the government job and join M/S Project Builders Ltd as one its Directors. Next year, he was made the Managing Director of the Company and since then he has never looked back. Engineer Aminul Islam has the distinction of being associated with some prestigious bodies/ societies/clubs. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers, past President of IFAWPCA (International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors' Association), past President of Bangladesh Association of Construction Industry(BACI), past President of Rotary Club of Dhaka North West, Member Dhaka Club, and Member Savar Golf Club, Dhaka.

Mizanur Rahman

Mr. Sadid Jamil

An avid enthusiast in entrepreneurship, Engineer Sadid Jamil was born on May 1, 1957, in Dhaka. He grew up under the affectionate care of his parents Late Engineer Jamil Uddin Ahmed and Ms. Sabiha Ahamed and had an excellent schooling. He graduated from the Bangladesh Institute of Technology (BIT), Khulna in 1982. He is married to Ms. Urmi Sadid and has one daughter and a son. Sadid Jamil, a vibrant young mechanical engineer, had a brief spell of service in the public sector and worked as Assistant Engineer in the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC). 1987 for Engineer Jamil was a year of great decision-making. He left the warmth of a secure job and moved to become an entrepreneur. He then founded a business of bodybuilding of automotive vehicles, The Metal. It was a company established that year for importing chassis and manufacturing bus and truck bodies. It turned out to be unprofitable and the business was aborted. The scenario of Bangladesh's agriculture, the farmer walking behind the bullocks, the wooden plows over the shoulder, came to his mind; the age-old farming practices had no change. He beheld a vision to work in the mechanization of Bangladesh's agriculture. He founded another company in 1993, The Metal (Pvt) Ltd, and became its Managing Director. The company then started importing tractors and other mechanized tools for agriculture, and the new business clicked. Besides the Metal, he has managed other companies that he founded after 2000 CE in course of time. The core idea of his business was Agriculture, he made other businesses too, which are non-core to his group, Metal. They are -Metal Plus Ltd, Metal Agro Ltd, Metal seed Ltd, Metal Agrttech Ltd, Metal farm Teach Ltd. Metal Parts Ltd, Metal Motors Ltd, Jamil Engineers Ltd, Cox's Bazar Surf Club Ltd, etc. Engineer Sadid Jamil is a management enthusiast and has never missed an opportunity to update his skill. He attended management courses in Bangladesh,the USA,and Japan over the last two decades. Engineer Sadid Jamil is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh. A significant aspect of his interests is his love for finearts which he pursues by avocation.Endowed with an aesthetic taste, he has a fairly large collection of artworks done by Bangladeshi artists, young and old. His collection comprises all forms of art - oil, watercolor, pencil sketches, acrylic, and pastel.He has a special liking for abstract painting, though figurative painting is not altogether absent. He is a frequent visitor of art exhibitions in Dhaka and spends quality time in the exhibitions halls. Teaming up with Engineer Aminul Islam, Mr. Sadid Jamil has had a brilliant career in business administration and management in the companies he has been serving as the Managing Director. His skill in management and business development has gone a long way in providing the necessary power for the companies he has been serving since 1987.

Mr. Sirajul Islam

Mr. Sirajul Islam is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh. He received the fellowship of the Institute in 2016. He qualified as ACA in 2010. He has a long career practicing as Accounts and Finances professional in big local companies and corporates. He worked in First Communications Ltd, and Multimode group, a shipping giant in his career. In the shipping business, he managed accounts of foreign entities based in the USA, Singapore, and Nepal for reconciliation and other accounting issues. He also worked with the world's largest NGO, BRAC, and looked after their Audit in his initial days. In the businesses he has served he looked after the company matters in addition to Accounts and Finance. He has attained experience in working in a digital environment and using software-based accounting systems. Preparing the final accounts, balance sheets, analyzing transactions are part of his career he has done all through in the companies he had served. In 2014 Sirajul joined Metal as Head of Finance and Accounts. He looks after the Group's Finance and Accounts comprising 12 companies under the group umbrella. He holds the position of General Manager. Mr. Sirajul Islam has a keen interest in writing fiction and he has some publications to his credit. He has an avid interest in traveling overseas and knowing places of interest and people. Mr. Sirajul Islam FCA is married to Ms.Merina Akter and has two sons.

Mr. Zahirul Hoque

Mr. Zahirul Hoque attended training and workshops at home and abroad. He attended a training conducted by Shore Bank Advisory Services, Chicago, the USA in 2001. He completed a training course at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India. Mr. Hoque has a keen interest in organizing juvenile cultural and sports feats. Mr. Zahirul Haque is married to Ms. Mahmuda Hoque and has one child.

Ms.Shabnam Khan

Born in 1958, Lt. Col. Tarequl Alam Khan (retd.) had his early life and schooling in Chottogram. He started his schooling in Chottogram city at the Saint Mary's English Medium School. He passed high school from Chattogram Police Line Institution. He was admitted to Government Titumir College, Dhaka for his higher secondary school course and passed successfully. Tarequl Alam Khan had an arduous military career as a commissioned officer of the Bangladesh army. While in Bangladesh Army he commanded several units and also served as staff officer of its different levels successfully. He had gone through rigorous training, strategic, and planning sessions in the Defence College and training centers, both at home and abroad. Mr. Khan is a graduate of Defense Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur. He obtained a Master's degree in Defense Studies from the National University, Bangladesh. He also studied business and received an MBA degree from the Royal Roads University, Canada Mr. Khan is a keen golfer. He is married to Ms.Shabnam Khan and has a son and a daughter.
