Joe Teurlings was born and raised in the Netherlands , where he resided for the first 30 years of his life. After college, he worked for over a decade as a management consultant, engagement manager, business case analyst and vice president for Cap Gemini, a global management consulting firm. He was involved in engagements in many countries and gained valuable insight into how large companies work and how executives think. In addition to English, Joe is fluent in Dutch, German and French.
After marrying his wife from Westlake Village, California, Joe moved to the United States. As time passed, he grew weary of the frequent travel required for his job and became more interested in the idea of helping individuals reach their financial goals. Joe made the decision to change his career focus to wealth management.
As his experience grew through his work with two top-tier, global wealth management companies (Morgan Stanley and UBS Financial Services, Inc.), so did his expertise. Joe earned some of the most prestigious designations in the financial services industry: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a designation only a small percentage of financial services professionals attain; Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a must have for any financial advisor; and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), a certification he received from the Wharton Business School.
