Alessandro Pauri

Alessandro Pauri is a litigator who has represented clients in a variety of construction, business, consumer, personal injury, and real estate matters. The son of an Italian father and Nicaraguan mother, Mr. Pauri is fluent in both Spanish and Italian, permitting him to represent a broad spectrum of clients who have found it difficult to procure quality representation and counsel in their native tongues. Mr. Pauri graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He then returned to Southern Methodist University and earned a law degree. Mr. Pauri's practice is defined by his desire to zealously advocate for his clients in and outside the courtroom. Above all, Mr. Pauri believes that an effective attorney must be available to, and candid with, his clients. As a result of this approach, the bulk of Mr. Pauri's clients are repeat clients. Andrew Jee

Mr. Jee is Of Counsel to Marshall Presley & Pipal PLLC. Mr. Jee's trial and litigation practice focuses on business disputes and white-collar criminal defense. His past cases have involved breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, theft of trade secrets, business divorces, non-competition agreements, legal malpractice, intellectual property matters, and assorted real estate matters. Mr. Jee also represents select clients in personal injury and family law cases, especially when a trial is anticipated. Brett A. Leal

Brett A. Leal is an Associate Attorney at Marshall, Presley, & Pipal, PLLC in Southlake, Texas. His primary practice areas include construction law, business litigation, and real estate transactions. Mr. Leal graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In 2019, he returned to Louisiana State University and earned a law degree with a diploma in comparative law. While in law school, Mr. Leal gained hands-on experience as a law clerk at the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General in the Public Finance and Contracts Division. He gained an invaluable understanding of client needs through his time as a legal intern for the in-house counsel of one of the largest commercial construction and design companies in Dallas. David Pipal

David Pipal is an experienced litigation attorney whose practice is focused in the areas of construction law, surety law, product liability, business litigation, commercial litigation, and insurance defense. On the construction side, Mr. Pipal represents developers, contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and design professionals in construction defect, general liability, and insurance defense matters. He prosecutes and defends-against contractual indemnity claims and advises clients on these and other risk-transfer strategies. Mr. Pipal handles a variety of business and commercial disputes. He has litigated complicated and emotional business "break-ups" and pursued the assets of individual owners under alter-ego theories and through the bankruptcy process. Mr. Pipal also serves as outside general counsel to several companies, providing general legal advice and representing clients before governmental entities. For more than a decade, Mr. Pipal has represented insurance companies and their named insured's in general liability matters. He is knowledgeable in the areas of insurance coverage and surety law and advises clients on insurance policy exclusions and endorsements and other risk-management strategies. Jon Marshall

Jon Marshall is a founding partner of Marshall Presley & Pipal PLLC (MPP). His primary practice areas include construction law, business and commercial litigation, and real estate law. He handles business and commercial disputes throughout state of Texas. Jon also serves as outside general counsel to numerous large companies throughout the United States. Prior to MPP, he has worked with firms of all sizes. Jon began his legal career as a Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps attorney in the United States Army where he was promoted to his final rank of Major. After completing an honorable military service commitment, he returned to Texas having honed his legal skills practicing nearly every aspect of the law as a prosecutor representing the United States of America. A North Texas native, Jon grew up in Dallas and attended Highland Park High School. He graduated from Texas A&M University and was a member of the Corps of Cadets, where he originally joined the U.S. Army following 9/11 and commissioned as a Military Intelligence Officer. During a time of war, Jon was one of six individuals in the nation granted an educational deferment by the U.S. Army. He used that deferment to pursue an opportunity to attend Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law and was accepted into the JAG Corps. Prior to graduating law school, Marshall was awarded multiple prized summer associate positions and was selected for a White House Internship under the President George W. Bush administration. Jon returned to the U.S. Army in 2010 to serve as a Presidentially appointed attorney in the JAG Corps. The JAG Corps reigns as the oldest law firm in the United States and remains one of the largest law firms in the world. With over a decade in the JAG Corps, Marshall built a reputation as a skilled and formidable trial lawyer. As a military prosecutor, he fully prosecuted more than 25 felony-level federal criminal prosecutions and conducted hundreds of administrative hearings. He is respected by his colleagues in the JAG Corps and never lost a case as the first chair attorney. Throughout his military legal career, Marshall has had the opportunity to practice many types of law, including: civil litigation, criminal litigation, labor and employment law, administrative law, international law, operational law, intelligence law, and contract law. During his time as a civil and administrative attorney, he represented the United States as the labor and employment law counselor defending against Title VII, ADA, and FML complaints from federal civilian employees at administrative MSPB and EEOC hearings, arbitrations, and mediations. Marshall served as a military magistrate responsible for the review of continued pretrial confinement and the issuance of search, seizure, and apprehension warrant authorizations. Marshall has maintained his top-secret clearance since 2011 and has used this status to serve as an international and operational law attorney advising on highly classified special operation forces missions in Afghanistan and multiple other countries. Advising on hundreds of real-time combat operations and completion of the U.S. Army's Ranger school has uniquely trained him to develop calculated solutions to some of the world's most difficult problems. Taylor Anderson's primary practice includes real estate law, business and commercial litigation, and construction law. Mr. Anderson graduated from Texas Tech University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History, and received his Juris Doctorate in 2011 from Texas A&M University School of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 2011. Before joining Marshall Presley and Pipal PLLC, Mr. Anderson was a partner at Cantey Hanger and most recently served as in-house litigation counsel for the largest title insurance company in the country. He has experience handling all aspects of title and real estate transactions and litigation, landlord/tenant litigation and construction litigation. Mr. Anderson's current clients include one of DFW's largest property management companies and a number of other large corporations across Texas. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court and has been active with the Tarrant County Bar Association sections, including Real Estate, Energy and Business Litigation, and the Tarrant County Volunteer Attorney Service. Mr. Anderson resides in Colleyville. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Nicole, a fourth-grade teacher in Carroll Independent School District, and his two kids, Luke and Emma. He is very active in the Northeast Tarrant community, having previously served as the Place 7 School Board Trustee for Birdville ISD and on the development and grants committee of the Birdville Education Foundation Board of Directors.

Zak Presley

Mr. Presley is a Founding Partner of Marshall Presley & Pipal PLLC. Mr. Presley grew up in Southlake, Texas and graduated from the University of Houston, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. He then returned to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to attend Texas A&M University School of Law where he graduated number three in his class and was a member of Law Review. Through his baseball career, Mr. Presley learned the hard work and dedication that is required to produce successful results. He was selected by the New York Yankees in the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft and was a four-year starter at the University of Houston. Mr. Presley's years in baseball taught him that winning is often a product of outworking the other side. He carries this mindset and will to win into his practice on a daily basis. Mr. Presley takes a high-energy approach to each case and endeavors to achieve positive results as economically as possible for his clients. Mr. Presley's state-wide practice focuses on resolving complex business and construction disputes through litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution. He also advises and represents clients on transactional matters for the firm. Mr. Presley has broad experience handling breach of contract and related business and construction claims, including fraud, tortious interference, lien and bond claims, construction defect claims and employment litigation.
