Dagan M. Cloutier, PA-C is board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. Dagan was born and raised in northern New Hampshire where he spent most of his free time growing up participating in all types of athletics. His passion for sports and fitness led him to pursue a career in orthopedic surgery. After high school he completed his undergraduate degree and masters program at Springfield College, in Springfield, Massachusetts. After completing his masters degree in 2007, Dagan started at New Hampshire Orthopedic where he has worked since. Over the course of his career Dagan has worked hard to gain knowledge in all areas of orthopedics. Dagan has a passion for treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries which is becoming increasingly rare as orthopedics grows more subspecialized. Dagan also oversees a bone health program which focuses on the evaluation and treatment of osteoporosis in patients who have sustained a fragility fracture. Dagan takes pride in administering near painless injections and his techniques have been featured in academic journals and online. Dagan has also been involved with the New Hampshire Society of Physician Assistants (NHSPA) for several years and served as president from 2015 to 2019. NHSPA is a dedicated group of volunteer PAs who promote and advance the PA profession in New Hampshire. Dagan has also presented at state and national medical conferences on various orthopedic topics. Dagan truly enjoys not only providing a high level of care, but also connecting with patients on a personal level. His career has become tremendously rewarding as patients trust the care he provides and often request him as their primary orthopedic provider. Daniel P. Bouvier

Daniel P. Bouvier is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He subspecializes in knee, shoulder, and sports medicine. Daniel P. Bouvier, MD is a sports medicine surgeon. His primary clinical interests include sports medicine and the treatment of sports-related injuries. He emphasizes performing minimally invasive surgery on shoulders (including arthritis) and knees. Dr. Bouvier is passionate about getting the injured athlete safely and expeditiously back on the field, court, track or ice. How Did Dr. Bouvier Become a Sports Medicine Surgeon? Dr. Bouvier's experience in high school began his interest in medicine. "I became interested in medicine toward the end of high school when I took a class called anatomy and physiology. I was also an athlete in high school and college. I became interested in medicine first, then I started thinking about who takes care of the athletes. The natural progression got me to orthopedic surgery." Dr. Bouvier's subspecialty is sports medicine. "Knees and shoulders are what I do the most of. Rotator cuff repairs and ACL reconstructions are probably my two favorite things to do." With his focus on ACL reconstruction, Dr. Bouvier has become concerned about the increase in ACL tears in female athletes. "ACL injuries in female athlete is a problem. We know how to fix them, we know how to do the surgery, but we need to do more in terms of prevention and aftercare. I'm really interested in trying to teach these kids how to move more properly, how to strengthen the right muscle groups so we can cut down on the incidents of young female athletes with ACL injuries.

Douglas M. Goumas

Douglas M. Goumas, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He subspecializes in sports medicine and knee replacement. Douglas M. Goumas, MD is a sports medicine and knee replacement specialist. Dr. Goumas performs minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder and knee, and specializes in arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs and ACL reconstructive surgery. Dr. Goumas spent a lot of time playing sports when he was growing up and that led to his interest in orthopedic surgery. "After injuring my shoulder playing football in my junior year of high school, I went to the orthopedic surgeon and was fascinated by what he did. At that point I figured this might be something that I want to do when I grow up." Dr. Goumas' s subspecialty is shoulder and knee surgery. "My mentor told me to learn a handful of operations. I have taken that advice. The shoulder surgery that I perform includes arthroscopic rotator cuff surgery and instability surgery. I also perform total shoulder replacement surgery. The knee surgery that I perform includes ACL reconstruction, patellofemoral realignment surgery and knee arthroscopy including meniscal surgery. I also perform total knee replacement surgery. In addition, I have experience in surgery for tennis elbow and bicep tendon injuries."

Eric R. Benson, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He subspecializes in total joint replacement for knee and hip. Eric R. Benson, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He subspecializes as a total joint surgeon for knee and hip. His clinical interests are surgical treatment of Hip and Knee Arthritis, Joint Replacement, Sports Medicine, and Knee Arthroscopy. Dr. Benson first became interested in orthopedics as a young athlete. "When I was 12 years old, I was a baseball pitcher. I was probably throwing too much and I went to see an orthopedic surgeon. That was my first experience with orthopedics. When I got to college I made the decision to pursue it." When it came time to deciding on a subspecialty, Dr. Benson chose adult reconstruction - hip and knee replacements - rather than sports medicine. Dr. Benson has been voted Top Orthopaedic Surgeon or leading physician by New Hampshire Magazine each year since 2001 except 2002 and 2010. He was also elected a member of Best Doctors in July, 2007 and won the 2004 New Hampshire Union-Leader ‘Top 40 Under 40' award.

Kame G. McAuliffe, PA-C is board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. Kame completed her masters program at St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri. Kame decided to become a Physician Assistant after experiencing orthopedic injuries and requiring her first orthopedic surgery at the age of 15. It was the Physician Assistant caring for her who inspired her to become a Physician Assistant. She would later become a mentor and reference for Kame when she applied for Physician Assistant school. She chose to specialize in the spine after her sister experienced a horrific spine injury resulting in temporary paralysis. She is thankful every day for being placed in a direction that would not only allow her to help many patients with spine issues but to also be there for her sister when she needed her the most. Kame has lived and worked in the Manchester/Bedford area since 2001. Since then she has specialized in orthopedic spine issues and provided comprehensive spine care including assessment, diagnosis, and conservative treatment of issues such as acute disc herniation, chronic disc degeneration, spinal stenosis, in both the cervical and lumbar spine. She also assists our three spine surgeons in operative procedures of the spine. Before joining New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center Kame experienced other New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center providers at local hospitals. She was also a patient at New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center. When the opportunity arose to work as a spine Physician Assistant at New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center, she knew she would be working with a respected, well-known, and talented group of physicians and physician assistants. She says it was a wonderful career opportunity for her. Kame says that the staff and patients make coming to work at New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center a joy. "We have a nice team of caring professionals who not only care about our patients but each other." She appreciates having the availability of other orthopedic sub-specialties within the same practice. Knowing that she has an immediate and trusted referral source for non-spine related issues is comforting and convenient for her and her patients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three young kids. They enjoy outdoor activities, sports, and the water.

Dr. Eyvazzadeh is an orthopedic Sports Medicine specialist. He enjoys treating knee ligament and meniscus injuries, shoulder tendon and labrum injuries, shoulder arthritis as well as hip impingement injuries. Dr. Eyvazzadeh first realized he wanted to be an orthopaedic surgeon as a medical student. His orthopaedic surgery rotation was by far and away his favorite. It was one of the few specialties where patients come in with problems that can be fixed with satisfyingly positive results. Dr. Eyvazzadeh's clinical interests include hip arthroscopy and shoulder arthroplasty. He enjoys treating knee ligament and meniscus injuries, shoulder tendon and labrum injuries, shoulder arthritis as well as hip impingement injuries. He wants his patients to know that he can relate to his patients more than most sports medicine specialists. "I myself have undergone surgical sports procedures in recent years and have had the chance to have the patient experience - going to the office to be evaluated, getting the correct imaging, coordinating a multitude of details around the date of surgery, dealing with any insurance issues, and getting on the path to post-operative rehabilitation." Dr. Eyvazzadeh received his medical degree from Penn State Hershey College of Medicine, completed his orthopaedic surgical training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, did his sports medicine fellowship training at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.

Heaps, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He is a hand specialist who enjoys the challenge of both common surgeries like carpal tunnel and trigger finger as well as the more complex surgeries to treat severe injuries. Injuries in high school brought Dr. Heaps to an orthopedic surgeon - the only doctor he really knew at the time. He appreciated what his doctor did for him and kept that experience in mind as he considered his career. Dr. Heaps feels that as a orthopedic surgeon, it is really important to understand what his patients are going through. "I remind myself that this is routine for us as surgeons, but it's not routine for my patients. I try to check in with them so I consider what they are going through."
