As pioneers in the field, we are in a unique position to discover and develop novel medicines for diseases in which nitrases and nitro-substrates play a role. We are initially focused on both Parkinson's disease and cancer, but nitrases and their nitro-substrates are also implicated in other neurodegenerative diseases, fibrotic diseases, respiratory diseases, and autoimmune diseases. Our lead development candidate is a first-in-class antibody targeting extracellular nitrated alpha-synuclein ( -synuclein) for the treatment of Parkinson's disease (PD) and other synucleinopathies.
