Alissa Algarin

Biography Alissa is an associate supporting Practice Development, Marketing, and research studies. An experienced marketing researcher, she has conducted research, modeling, and analytics across several service industries including IT, pharmaceuticals, financial services, and insurance. She is a research consultant who engages with clients directly, as well as through Research Rockstar's Rent-a-Researcher program and Q Research Software's Hire A Researcher program. Alissa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism with a minor in Sociology and an MBA with a focus on marketing. Her academic interests include using predictive modeling and segmentation to guide businesses to a customer-first perspective. Alissa is pursing her Masters Degree in Data Science at Northwestern University, specializing in Modeling and Analytics.

Andrew D'Amico

Biography Leading our Business Analytics Practice and our PMO, Andrew is a Project Management Institute (PMI) Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) and Project Management Professional (PMP) with a focus on implementation of Artificial Intelligence projects. As a DASSM and a PMP Andrew has demonstrated expertise in both the foundations of project management (Predictive or "Waterfall" project management) as well as enterprise implementation and scaling of Agile principals. Andrew has practiced as both a Scrum Master on Scrum Projects, and an agile project manager utilizing Lean and Disciplined Agile methodologies. He believes that every project and every team is different and so true agility is the ability to adapt contextually. Andrew has previous experience working with start-ups in the areas of business and product development, predictive "People Analytics," and disruptive technologies such as blockchain and graph databases. In business analytics he combines his experience as a project manager with business analysis and data science to deliver solutions specifically tailored to solving the problem of the business unit. His focus in machine learning is on intersection of disruptive technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, neural networks, and remote sensing, and the application of these tools in cross-fields. Professionally Andrew serves on multiple boards and associations. He is currently the Vice President of Operations for the Northwestern University Master of Science in Data Science Student Leadership Council. He is also the Director of Executive Outreach for the Project Management Institute Chicagoland Chapter. Andrew is an active member of the IEEE, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA). In October of 2021 Andrew will be serving as a session chair for the implementation track of the ValleyML.ai Artificial Intelligence conference. Andrew is currently working on his thesis work and a candidate of the Masters of Science in Data Science in Artificial Intelligence program at Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois. Previously he received his double undergraduate degree in Philosophy and English literature from Loyola University Chicago, specializing in Philosophy of Science. His academic research interests focus on business applications of data science within various business models, frameworks, and project structures. In addition to the Business Analytics Practice and the PMO, Andrew is also closely involved with the GIS Practice and general operations.

Jessica Price

Biography Jessica is a Lead in our Business Analytics Practice and an integral team member within both our Consulting Practice and on our operations team. Jessica received her B.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York with a concentration in research. During her undergraduate she worked with a team developing a measure a conducting research within the Forensic Psychology field. Upon graduation, Jessica worked in various roles within the Criminal Justice setting from being a Supervising Officer to developing, implementing, and managing in-custody programs. Most recently Jessica has been consulting for various nonprofit organizations to assist with their onboarding, grant writing, contract review, project management and navigation within various county departments. In addition to her dynamic experience within the criminal justice field, Jessica has received a post graduate certificate in Crime and Intelligence Analytics from the University of Cincinnati and most recently obtained her Master's in Data Science with a specialty in Management Analytics from Northwestern University. Jessica fully believes in the power of data and how important it is for organizations to not only capture data but explore what the data can tell you and where it can lead you. Consulting primarily with nonprofit organizations, Jessica emphasizes how vital data are in order to capture the effectiveness and importance of these organizations. Often times, understanding the data allows for organizations to make decisions that will increase their revenue and resources.

Biography Michael leads our engineering team as well as building the business. He is currently managing our Cloud Infrastructure and Data Engineering. Michael is a dedicated University of Virginia student with both his Bachelor's and Master's in Systems and Information Engineering from the University of Virginia. Prakash Patel

Prakash utilizes his experience in backend operations as well as risk management roles in asset management and model risk to help develop the business framework of Northwestern Analytics. Prakash has a Bachelors in Finance from the University of Illinois - Chicago and is working on his Master's in Data Science from Northwestern University. When asked about his views on Data Science, Prakash looks back to where he has seen Data Science play an important role in the finance industry. After the 2008 Financial Crisis, corporations utilized data science to meet develop critical models that allowed for making better risk decisions in investments, fraud detection, and cash management/reserve calculations. His believes that such use of data science within other industries will help allow for better education, healthier population, and cleaner environment.

As a Partner, Tony assists with recruitment efforts, Human Resources, and strategic positioning. He has worked in Human Resources and HR Analytics for over 10 years. He received his Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Connecticut, Masters in Labor Relations and Human Resources from Michigan State University, and Masters of Science in Data Science from Northwestern University. Human Resources and Data Science makes a perfect marriage. HR has to track and store data and Data Science provides the tools to analyze the data to provide meaningful insight. Organizations that can combine the two fields effectively will have a competitive advantage with respect to their human capital.
