OPERAGLASS WORKS

OperaGlass Works is a new company and this is our second production. We raised all the money from scratch and we could not have done it without our incredibly generous donors... We produce wonderful chamber opera and theatre works, performing in intimate spaces to new and old audiences, at lower prices. We offer well established singers the creative input that actors normally have, with an emphasis on integrating the music with clarity of storyline and text and on direct communication with the audience. Singers and musicians become part of the creative process. The orchestra forms an integral part of the action, often performing onstage and becoming part of the ensemble... Years later, Selina worked on scenes from The Rake's Progress with Rob Murray in a workshop at the National Theatre Studio. Selina and Eliza then worked together on another play and discussed the idea of an opera. Could we create an environment to produce excellent opera for less money? Soon afterwards, we worked..
