Angela Berg

Angela Berg DNP, APRN, CPNP has been proudly advocating for and serving the needs of medically complex children and their families in Nevada since 2001. Angela teamed up with Dr Kathleen Gates to start the first pediatric hospice program in the state of Nevada in 2007 and went on to complete her doctorate and start the first clinic based pediatric palliative care program in 2016. She continues to be a fierce advocate for the medically complex children in Nevada advocating for education, program development, and access to care.

Branda L. Kent

Ms. Kent was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she attended Elementary School through graduating from college, with a bachelor's of Arts Degree in 1992 and a Master's Degree (1996), in Social Work (with an emphasis in counseling), from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Branda has an extensive background in Mental Health, Public Health, Regulatory /Compliance, Child Welfare, Protective Service, Adult, Pediatrics, Medical Social Work, Domestic Violence and Crisis Counseling. Ms. Kent has served on the following governing boards within the past 15 years: American Parkinson's Disease Association (APDA), where she provided group therapy for caregivers, family members and persons with Parkinson's Disease. Branda served as the Co-Chairperson for the State of Nevada, Breast & Cervical Cancer Coalition. Branda has served for the past 5 years, as the Nevada Chapter Leader for the National Cervical Cancer Coalition (NCCC) where she provided education, prevention and intervention strategies on Cervical Cancer and the HPV Virus, to communities, faith-based organizations and disparate populations. Branda currently serves as a governing board member on the Nevada Community Health Centers of Southern Nevada, (NCHC). Branda's focus is on Networking, building community support, health disparities and social behaviors affecting health, creating key coalitions and building strategic partnerships.

Brenda Bramm

Rev. Dr. Brenda Braam was born in Youngstown, Ohio and was saved under the ministry of the late Bishop Norman L. Wagner. She has been a long time resident of Las Vegas, Nevada since 1977. She also lived in Virginia for 12 years. She was ordained under the ministry of Bishop Clinton House by her first Pastor, Presiding Bishop Norman L. Wagner in 1998. Dr. Braam has spent most of her life advocating for disenfranchised and marginalized individuals. The work of the ministry has allowed her to witness the hardship women and children are subjected to whether its domestic violence, homelessness, substance abuse, or working with underserved communities locally and abroad. Rev. Dr. Braam was employed by the Virginia Department of Corrections for eleven years as the Lead Chaplain at three correctional facilities. The Haynesville Men's Correctional Center, Peumansend Regional Jail, and Unit 17 work release facility. She was employed eight years by Nevada Department of Corrections as the Lead Chaplain of the Florence McClure Women's Facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. A strong advocate for women and children, she served on the Governing Body of the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Alliance in Richmond for six years. This entailed writing policy and introducing legislative proposals for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Nevada Coalition to End Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and is a Board Member for Nevada Community Health Services. Rev. Dr. Braam is a respected minister, conference speaker, and lecturer throughout the nation and abroad. Having ministered in Johannesburg and Kimberley, South Africa, Amsterdam, Canada, Mexico, Trinidad, Tobago, and Venezuela. She helped establish a school for underserved children in Tobago. One of her most recent projects was assisting in the founding of a shelter for abused and battered women and children in Kimberley, South Africa. Rev. Dr. Braam has earned degrees, a Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Management from Regent University, a Masters of Divinity from Virginia Union University, a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Liberty University, and a Doctorate in Ministry from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Rev. Dr. Braam is an Adjunct Professor and Mentor for doctoral students at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. She is a Certified Domestic Violence and Substance Abuse Counselor. Dr. Braam is the CEO of "Missio Dei" CDC Nonprofit and Missio Dei Enterprises, LLC. Which means, "God sent." And the host of the annual, "Survivor Sister's Domestic Violence Breakfast." Rev.

Mr. Osman is an international speaker who has worked with literally hundreds of community-based organizations, corporations, government agencies, and media outlets as it relates to community mobilization particularly in areas dedicated the upliftment of youth to their higher aspirations/potentials, globally. He has facilitated countless special events surrounding health & wellness, safety, and broad community organizational collaborations. He has chaired and been a frequent guest speaker for a myriad of international, regional, national and multistate conferences addressing a wide variety of topics related to health & wellness, youth mentoring, social/criminal justice, violence intervention just to name a few, including global virus outbreaks namely H1N1 (Swine Flu), Ebola and Zika Virus. He is the President & Founder of the non-profit organization Nevada Youth Alliance which laid the foundation to all the aforementioned community credits and attributions for over 20 years. The organization also fostered various programs that were institutionalized and became cornerstones for championing the personal development for youth throughout Nevada and recently on the continent of Africa. In addition, he is one of the first 4 African Americans/Blacks to integrate the school's educational system in Huntsville, Alabama in 1963. The historic event played a major role for the earlier beginnings in desegregation of public schools across the state. Over several decades Mr. Osman has led an extraordinary career and life as an educator, civil/human rights and peace activist, volunteer, founder, and organizer of numerous non-profits and have received innumerable honors, awards, and proclamations along his continued journey in public service.

Donna Miller is a respected Transport Nurse, with over 20 years of experience in building and leading high-performance medical transportation organizations, (Air & Ground Ambulances), driving growth-oriented change and transformation in highly competitive markets. Born and raised in Romania, Donna immigrated to USA in 1991; she became a Nurse in 1996 and a Flight Nurse in 2001; and in 2002 she founded Life Guard International Air Ambulance, a Las Vegas, NV based air ambulance service specialized in transporting critically ill patients via airplanes converted into Flying Intensive Care Units. Life Guard International was acquired by American Medical Response (AMR) in 2017 and is now a member of Global Medical Response (GMR), an air and ground medical transportation industry leader. Post-acquisition, Donna concentrated her attention on providing integrated ground and air medical transportation solutions to create better patient outcomes, stronger community relations and a more comprehensive medical transportation business model. As a faithful servant to her profession and to her community, over the years, Donna successfully lead multiple legislative efforts revising the State of Nevada's EMS provisions; represented Nurses on Nevada State Board of Health, EMS Advisory Committee; she was the President-elect for the Nevada Ambulance Association; and she served Nevada Nurses Association in different roles, including as the President of NNA's District 3, as NNA's Vice President, and as NNA's Legislative Committee Chair and Co-Chair. Donna was actively involved with the State of Nevada Crisis Standards of Care Committee; held senior leadership positions in numerous FEMA initiated disaster responses (such as after Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria, and Ida); worked with FBI's Victim Advocacy Program and representatives of the international travel industry to coordinate safe repatriation of numerous victims of Las Vegas's October 1st mass shooting; and, as one of the Southern Nevada's EMS Leaders, she was instrumental in our community's response to COVID-19 crisis, and the recovery efforts from this unprecedented emergency. Donna partook in several Governor-lead International Trade Missions, along esteemed government officials, pursuing global economic development of Nevada, and addressing global nursing issues. Donna received Congressional Recognition for going "above and beyond to save lives" in rural Nevada; she was named Ambassador of Peace by the International Women's Federation for World Peace; and among others, Donna received the AAG's Community Achievement Award; the SBA's Nevada Woman- Owned Business of the Year Award; the Women of Distinction Awards - Entrepreneur of the Year; and she was recognized as one of Las Vegas's Top 100 Women of Influence. Dr. Schmidt graduated from Nevada State College in 2007 with a BSN. For over 10 years she worked as an RN providing care to patients of all ages in hospice facilities, group homes, assisted living facilities, post-acute rehab, and private residences. Dr. Schmidt then worked as a family nurse practitioner, seeing patients of all ages, in a clinical setting. In 2021, she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Walden University. She is nationally certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board and dedicated to providing accessible, compassionate, and excellent quality of care to all Nevadans. Among many recognitions, Dr. Schmidt is a proud recipient of the Nevada Shining Stars of Nursing, Leadership category "Nurses on Boards" Award (2021); and she received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition by Congressman Steven Horsford: for civic engagement in the Las Vegas community (2022).
