Bina Patel has been an entrepreneur in business for most of her life. She has had the capacity to develop, organize, and manage small business ventures in two different countries over a span of 34 years. As the HR Manager at PeopleShores, she continues to use her expertise in business administration and project management to best serve all of the company's employees. Being a humanitarian, Bina has had the opportunity to volunteer at many non-profit organizations and has gone on to organize a number of large events as an Event Coordinator which she continues to pursue to this day. She believes in serving her community in whatever way she can and hopes her impact at PeopleShores continues this trajectory. With her personal time, Bina enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, cooking her favorite dishes, reading a good book, painting, hiking and traveling.

John Kohler

John Kohler has been Director of Impact Capital at Santa Clara's Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship and has also been a mentor to social entrepreneurs at the Global Social Benefit Accelerator. In 2011 he authored a report on impact investing entitled Coordinating Impact Capital: a New Approach to Investing in Small and Growing Businesses, co-authored a chapter on equity investing in New Frontiers of Philanthropy (Oxford Press-2014), and recently published a study on Total Portfolio Activation for Impact (Miller Center-2016). He is now pioneering a new investment vehicle - the Variable Payment Obligation - that presents investors with a ‘structured exit' alternative to equity. In addition, he is co-founder of Toniic, a syndication network of impact investors. John manages investments through Redleaf Venture Management, a venture capital operating company founded in 1993. John's earlier background includes twenty years of executive level positions at Hewlett Packard, Silicon Graphics, Convergent Technologies and Unisys. He was one of the founding executives at Netscape Communications. John served as a board member at PACT, an NGO based in Washington D.C., and on Pact's microfinance company in Myanmar. Over the last 15 years, he was a managing member of the UCLA Venture Capital Fund and currently advises ACDI/VOCA's impact fund and several USAID projects. Other recent advisory roles include the Vatican Impact Investing Conference and Catholic Relief Services.

Lawrence Sneed

Lawrence is a Software Engineer who leads a team at PeopleShores, PBC, currently working on Project Elevate with Morgan Stanley to impact the community and improve diversity in the industry. He has spent twenty years in customer service, the last five of which in workforce development, connecting talent from the community to national partners, while building relationships. Lawrence has mobilized more than 1,000 volunteers from 70 industry leaders including BNY Mellon, Barclays, Capgemini, Google, Salesforce, Capital One, Bank of America, and UBS raising over $50,000 in donations. Lawrence holds a degree in computer information systems and has taken several programming courses through Per Scholas. While he enjoyed the work he was doing, his passion for helping people grow and develop themselves through tech led here. When he is not developing relationships or programs, Lawrence can be found visiting restaurants and movies, reading, or volunteering.

Mickey Austin - CEO

Mickey is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PeopleShores. He has over 35 years of global experience in helping companies achieve improved performance in IT and business process areas by focusing on business strategy, operating model transformation, service integration and continuous improvement. Mickey started his career working for the pioneer in outsourcing services, Electronic Data Systems, which was founded by Ross Perot. Mickey's international profile is highlighted by living and working throughout Asia Pacific for 13 years. He moved to Hong Kong in 1996 where he was responsible for EDS' Asia Pacific financial industry practice for IT services outsourcing. He also served as the primary leader for EDS Country Managers in eleven different countries to help them establish and build their business and deliver to their clients. Mickey left EDS to join Ernst & Young (EY) as a US Partner, still based in Asia Pacific, as the leader of their Asia Pacific business process services practice. Before leaving Asia Pacific, Mickey worked for Accenture and then co-founded and established a business process outsourcing company based in Hong Kong. Since returning to the US Mickey has worked for PWC, Travelport and EY. Mickey received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Stephen F. Austin University.

RuralShores success story is a case study at Oxford, Harvard, IIM Bangalore and other management schools. Murali spent 15 years on Wall Street providing technology solutions to Investment Banks. When asked why she is so passionate about serving historically disadvantaged populations, she states, "I want to be able to make a fundamental difference in people's lives that will not only impact their future, but also future generations."

Vivek Mahadevan served as the Chief Strategy Officer for NetApp. In this role, Vivek was responsible for leading NetApp's business strategy and identifying additional market and product opportunities to fuel future growth. He was also responsible for driving strategic planning, managing acquisitions, and supporting NetApp's strategic alliances and partnership teams. Before joining NetApp, Vivek served as VP of marketing for LSI Corporation, where he was responsible for driving all aspects of product management, outbound marketing and business alliances. Prior to LSI, Vivek was the CEO of NeoEdge Networks. He was also the VP/GM of BMC Software's Storage Management Business Unit and VP/GM of Compaq's Storage Business Unit Vivek holds an MBA in Marketing and MS in Engineering from the University of Iowa as well a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology,Madras
