PRACCIS

PRACCIS (Promoting Reasoning and Conceptual Change In Science) is a research and development project directed over the past 15 years by Ravit Golan Duncan and Clark Chinn. Our focus is developing innovative learning environments for model-based inquiry, understanding how students learn through inquiry, and identifying ways to redesign learning environment in light of our research. Through this work, we have developed and tested NGSS-aligned curricula in the life sciences that you can find in our Classroom Resources pages... We have developed a range of scaffolds to support growth in students' ability to engage in scientific practices.
