Becky Konczalski - SVP

Becky's primary focus is on the sourcing, onboarding, development, and management of all Specialty Property Programs. Becky has over 20 years of underwriting experience in the catastrophe property insurance industry. In her prior role as Senior Vice President of Underwriting and Distribution with ICAT, she provided technical underwriting expertise, underwriting leadership, mentoring and, market expertise to identify and deliver profitable opportunities for the organization. Becky was also responsible for ICAT's distribution strategy and managed the team of Relationship Managers and National relationships.

Doug Goode

Job Titles:
  • Senior Vice President, Business Development
Doug manages the sales, marketing, distribution, and business development functions as well as the external audit function associated with business partner compliance. Additionally, Doug leads the charge in managing ReAlign's relationships with reinsurers and PAs/MGAs. Doug has over 31 years of experience in the insurance industry where he began his career at Employers Reinsurance as an actuarial analyst before moving into their reinsurance brokerage division Bates Turner/Benfield. Doug spent 17 years as a reinsurance broker before leaving to join Rockhill Insurance Group, a specialty insurer with both admitted and non-admitted entities, as head of Business Development. Doug left in 2011 to join QBE where he was Senior Vice President with QBE North America in charge of sales strategy and new business processes for the program division. Doug returned to Rockhill in 2013, as Chief Operating Officer where he led and directed all marketing, business development and specialty underwriting functions, and played a key role in overall company strategy. Education: Doug graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems.

Grant Lippincott - President

Grant currently serves as the President of ReAlign Insurance Holdings, LLC and is responsible for strategy, business development, capital allocation, and the financing activities of the holding company. Grant works closely with Tim McAuliffe, President of ReAlign Insurance Holdings, Inc. ("ReAlign"), and its subsidiaries (SSIC, ASIC, and NSIC), on strategic initiatives for the Insurers. Grant has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry where he has worked as both an operator and an investor in insurance related businesses. Grant is the founder of Rockbrook Advisors, the Manager of the Brookside Investment Partners Funds ("Brookside") and Rockbrook Partners I, LLC ("Rockbrook I"), both formed to make investments in the property and casualty insurance industry. Rockbrook I was one of the largest investors in Aspen Holdings, Inc. ("Aspen"), an insurance holding company created by Grant and two partners in 1997. While with Aspen, Grant was responsible for co-founding FirstComp Insurance Company, a successful mono-line workers' compensation insurance company, FirstComp Underwriters Group, a managing general agency, and Precision Premium Consultants, a premium audit consulting company. Grant was an Associate with the Technology Finance Group in the Corporate Finance Department at Smith Barney from 1984 to 1990. Education: Grant graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Business with a Master in Business Administration degree in 1992 and has a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1984. Additionally, Grant was the recipient of the Ernst and Young 2002 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for financial services in Nebraska and Iowa.

Jay Carleton

Jay leads the property and casualty Claims function where he is responsible for managing relationships and providing oversight of our TPA partners. With a broad background in the insurance Industry, Jay has over 25 years of claims leadership and legal expertise having led multiple teams in various roles across numerous lines of business. Prior to joining ReAlign, Jay began his career as a practicing attorney before moving into the insurance claims world with Employers Reinsurance/Swiss Re as Claims Counsel handling with both direct and reinsurance claims. Additionally, Jay was the VP of State Auto's Casualty and Workers Compensation Claims Division overseeing a large team of associates handling Personal and Commercial Auto, Excess and Surplus Lines, General Liability and Workers Compensation claims. In addition, he also held various leadership roles with State Auto including the VP of Commercial Claims, and VP of Excess and Surplus Lines Claims. Education: Jay is a licensed attorney and holds various insurance designations including CPCU and ARe. Jay is a graduate of the University of Missouri and the University of Missouri Law School.

Jonathan Deutsch

Jonathan is currently the in-house actuary for the carrier companies of ReAlign Insurance Holdings (RIH), National Summit, American Summit and Summit Specialty. In this role, Jonathan is responsible for the pricing and profitability of all products and programs written by the carriers, as well as working with the Company's independent actuary on reserving for the insurers. Jonathan has 25+ years of insurance and consulting work across various products, coverages, and distribution channels, leading product teams and actuarial teams, with experience in pricing and reserving, product management and product development, and aggregate portfolio management. Jonathan graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Actuarial Science and Risk Management and Insurance, and is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Joseph Girardi

Joe is responsible for managing all of the Casualty focused programs to ensure that they are operating within the parameters established by both parties in addition to assisting with onboarding of new programs and providing insight into new program opportunities. Joe has over 35 years of experience across the commercial insurance industry. Joe began his insurance career with AIG, rising from Professional Trainee to Regional Commercial Claims Representative to various Claims and Underwriting management positions to Assistant Vice President of their Agency Initiative Division. He continued his career as Vice President of Marketing for AXA Corporate Solutions before joining QBE Insurance & Reinsurance Corporation as Vice President of Underwriting and Programs, where he developed and managed property, casualty, and specialty lines programs. Prior to joining ReAlign, Joe served as Senior Vice President of WKFC Underwriting Managers & CorRisk Solutions/RSG Underwriting Managers in the management of Casualty and Professional Liability Programs, building upon his experience at Ironshore Insurance Services where he was instrumental in building and leading the Programs division and in the development and administration of specialty programs across all lines of business. Education: Joe holds a Bachelor of Science, Management with a Minor in Economics/Finance degree from St. John's University. Additionally, Joe is a member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society, John Street Insurance Association, and has a Certified Program Leader designation from TMPAA.

Kris Castle

Kris leads the strategic planning function where she is involved in managing the operational, finance, and regulatory aspects of the ReAligns' business. Kris has over 23 years of experience in the insurance industry, as an operator and investor. Kris joined the Rockbrook Advisors team as a partner in 2007. At Rockbrook Advisors, Kris focused on identification, diligence, and oversight for insurance related portfolio companies, and served on several boards of directors for these companies. Prior to joining Rockbrook Advisors, Kris was with Aspen Holdings/FirstComp Insurance as the Assistant Treasurer and Director of Finance for the company. During her tenure with Aspen, Kris' corporate development responsibilities included evaluating several acquisition opportunities for the company as well as organizing, forming, and capitalizing Banyan Re, LLC, an offshore captive reinsurer. Education: Kris graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Master in Business Administration degree and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

Neill Kanji

Neill is responsible for lead and growth development, onboarding and managing relationships with reinsurers and PAs/MGAs, branding, as well as implementing efficiencies in day-to-day operations and modernization initiatives through SaaS or internal solutions within ReAlign. Neill has over 9 years of experience in the insurance industry working on myriad facets, from multiple perspectives. Neill joined Align General Insurance Agency in 2012 and served varying roles as the Sr. Business Analyst & Project Manager during his tenure with the company before transitioning to ReAlign Capital Strategies in 2017 where he served as Senior Associate and provided expertise in program analysis and partnered in developing new investment opportunities. Education: Neill graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree.

Rodney Kirk - VP

Rodney leads the accounting and finance operations, including review and presentation of financial statements, audit reports, reinsurance, and tax returns of ReAlign Insurance Holdings. Rodney has over 27 years of experience in the insurance industry including, property and casualty, life and health on both a direct and reinsurance perspective. Rodney started his insurance career with the Indiana Department of Insurance as an Examiner. Rodney then spent 11 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, as a Senior Manager in auditing and consulting in the United States and Europe. Additionally, Rodney was with State Auto as their Corporate Controller and then General Electric's North America Life & Health Company as their Technical Controller. Education: Rodney graduated from Indiana University Northwest with a Bachelor of Arts, Accounting.

Scott Proctor

Scott leads the IT function at SSIC, ASIC, and NLIC, managing the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of all software applications and data initiatives that support the business. Scott also manages the procurement, design, implementation, and support of all network and IT infrastructure for the insurance companies. Scott has over 25 years' experience in technology and application development roles in the insurance industry. Scott joined the insurers in 2018 from National General Insurance Company where he served as Vice President, Information Technology & Application Development as well as the Chief Information Officer for Imperial Fire & Casualty Insurance Company and ABC Insurance Agencies of Texas. Prior to that Scott began his career in insurance IT at a subsidiary of Great American Insurance Company in the early 1990's, and progressed to AVP of Information Technology for Infinity Insurance Company after the split from Great American. Education: Scott received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.

Shandra Montalvo

Shandra leads the HR and Payroll function where she manages Human Resources, Payroll, and Benefit administration. Shandra is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR tasks including recruitment and hiring, employee relations, training and development, compensation, and benefits, as well as partnering with business leaders to develop and align HR strategies in support of ReAlign's business goals. Shandra has over 15 years of experience within Human Resources and Payroll. Prior to joining ReAlign, Shandra served as Payroll Manager responsible for multi-state payroll and timekeeping for 450 employees, including compliance with federal and state laws and regulations to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll.

Tim McAuliffe - President

Tim is responsible for managing the Underwriting and Claims functions as well as the overall day-to-day management of all aspects of the Company, including finance, marketing, compliance, claims, and IT. Additionally, Tim works closely with Grant Lippincott, President of ReAlign Insurance, LLC on strategic initiatives for the Insurers. Tim has over 25 years of experience in the industry and began his insurance career at AIG in 1995 as Associate General Counsel for the Miscellaneous Professional Liability Group. Over his 14-year career with AIG he held various positions of increasing responsibility, including COO for Starr Excess Liability, Regional Vice President for Lexington Insurance for the New York, Boston and Philadelphia regions, and President of American Home Assurance Company. In 2009 Tim joined Ironshore Insurance Company as President of Casualty and Programs. Within the Program group he developed a unique practice that was a combination of traditional Carrier/MGA/Program Administrator contracts as well as Joint Ventures with Agencies, Agency Acquisitions and Book Transfers. Education: Tim graduated from Rutgers College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree; he obtained his Juris Doctor from New York Law School.
