Renaissance Manufacturing, RMI, has been a family-owned business for five generations. It all started in 1917 with Stanley Evans, a well-known tailor in England. When Stanley migrated from England to the United States, he unknowingly stepped onto the wrong boat, which was headed to Miami Florida instead of New York City. As soon as he stepped off the boat into Miami, he realized professionally tailored suits would not work in the much warmer climate.
