Blake T. Couvillion

Blake Couvillion is experienced in property and casualty litigation for both personal and commercial lines clients. He has handled cases involving trucking and auto losses, premises liability, insurance coverage, oil and gas, construction, product liability, and other general casualty cases. He also has experience in large loss transportation cases. Additionally, Mr. Couvillion maintains a general civil practice including successions, wills, and collection matters. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts within Louisiana. Prior to earning his law degree, Blake was employed as a property and casualty claims adjuster for more than 8 years. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Insurance and Risk Management from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette and an Associate in Claims certificate from The Institutes. Blake enjoys his free time in the Atchafalaya Basin where he lives with his wife and three kids.

Brooke Marcello

Brooke Marcello joins Rabalais, Hebert, & Couvillion with experience handling commercial automobile liability and premises liability cases. She graduated from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2021. While in law school, Brooke competed in the Constitutional Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition in San Diego, where she placed second in brief writing and top 16 in oral argument. Brooke was also a member of the Maritime Law Journal, Moot Court Board, and was a teaching assistant to Professor Dane S. Ciolino. During her final year of law school, Brooke worked in the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic for Children's Rights, where she handled a variety of cases including custody, divorce, and successions matters. She applies her written and oral advocacy skills to the daily practice of law. Brooke earned her bachelor's degree in Political Communication from Louisiana State University. During her time at LSU, Brooke served on Student Government and was President of her sorority. In her free time, Brooke enjoys traveling, volunteering as an Alumni Advisor for her sorority, spending time with her two goldendoodles (Honey and Hershey), and cheering on the LSU Tigers.

Christopher H. Hebert

Chris Hebert practices in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury and general liability matters including maritime, Jones Act, Longshoreman, workers' compensation, premises and products liability, law enforcement, and automobile claims. He also devotes a portion of his practice to insurance coverage matters and litigation and the review of oilfield and other contracts and related insurance issues Mr. Hebert is a lifelong resident of Louisiana. He received his Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School in 1990, cum laude, where he served as one of the editors of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. He graduated from Louisiana State University in 1987, summa cum laude, and received a B.S. in Commercial Banking. He is admitted to practice in all of the various civil and appellate courts in Louisiana as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and all U.S. District Courts in Louisiana. His legal memberships include the Lafayette Parish, Louisiana State, and The Fifth Federal Circuit Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.

Doug Wimberly

Doug Wimberly is Of Counsel to the Firm and practices in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury defense, insurance law, and local government law. He has been a practicing civil litigation attorney for 33 years and was a founding partner of the law firm of Cloyd, Wimberly, and Villemarette. Doug is a lifelong resident of Church Point, Louisiana. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) in 1979 and worked for Marathon Oil Company until 1986. He received his Juris Doctor from the LSU Law Center in 1990, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board. He received his MBA from the University of Louisiana (UL) in 1991. He is licensed and admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana, including the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Doug is an avid New Orleans Saints, LSU, and Houston Astros fan. Doug is an ordained Deacon in the Catholic Church, and enjoys spending time with his four grandsons on the "Cajun Prairie."

Fred W. Davis

Fred Davis is Of Counsel to the firm and practices in the area of civil litigation and notarial practice. Mr. Davis also maintains a general civil practice including, successions and wills, as well representing local businesses handling corporate formations and contract review. Mr. Davis was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, October 15, 1955. He graduated from Duquesne University in 1980, cum laude. He received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1983. He is admitted to practice in all the various civil and appellate courts in Louisiana, as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal and all U.S. District Courts in Louisiana. His legal memberships include the Lafayette Parish and Louisiana State Bar Associations. Mr. Davis was a 2005 finalist for the Times of Acadiana's "Best Lawyer in Lafayette" award. He is also a Notary instructor at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette preparing students for the state-wide notarial examination. They consistently achieve a much higher pass rate than the state average. In addition, he is the owner of Pass My Notary, LLC who publishes workbooks for students studying for the notary exam and gives seminars/workshops throughout the year.

Kaitlyn Bourg

Kaitlyn Bourg has experience handling the defense of a variety of claims in litigation involving auto liability and uninsured motorist, insurance coverage, hurricane damages, premises liability, merchant liability, and workers' compensation. She was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2018 and is currently licensed to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Kaitlyn received her Bachelor's Degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 2014. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from Louisiana State University's Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2018. During her time in law school, Kaitlyn was a member of the Journal of Energy Law and Resources and served on the editorial board.

Mel Eiden

Mr. Eiden was born in New York, New York, November 3, 1949. He graduated from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz in 1973. He received a Masters degree in Public Service Administration from Russell Sage College in 1983. He received his Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in White Plains, New York in 1989, Magna Cum Laude. He is admitted to practice in all of the various civil and appellate courts in New York and Louisiana, as well as the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and U.S. District Courts in Louisiana. Mr. Eiden is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, NAPSLO and the Louisiana Surplus Lines Association.

Steve has earned the "AV-Preeminent" and "Gold Client Champion" ratings from Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Rabalais was born on October 10, 1960. He received a B.A. from Louisiana State University in 1982 (summa cum laude), and his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University Law Center in 1985, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board. He is admitted to practice in all of the various civil and appellate courts in Louisiana as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and all U.S. District Courts in Louisiana.
