Antony J. Abbiati - CEO, Founder

Tony has over 22 years of experience in the investment business. His responsibilities include driving the overall management and strategy of SCS, as well as spending significant time working directly with clients of the firm advising them on all aspects of their financial life. Tony is actively involved in Year Up, a Boston based non-profit focused on empowering urban young adults.

Barrett Holden - VP

As a Vice President on the Investment Partners team, Barrett helps to lead the firm's efforts in building and servicing our partnerships with a variety of institutional investors, including wealth management firms, single family offices, and foundations. His focus is to ensure that our clients understand the full capabilities of our investment platform and then work to provide efficient ways to pursue their desired objectives. Solutions range from access to commingled funds to the design of customized fund solutions, as well other more tailored partnership arrangements.

Brad Smith

Brad joined SCS Financial Services in 2010 and manages the Alternative Investment Servicing team. Previously, Brad supported the Director of Fixed Income by sourcing, analyzing, and monitoring current and prospective managers, as well as assisted in modeling custom portfolios for clients and prospects with unique investment objectives. Prior to that role, Brad was responsible for generating monthly performance for client accounts, SCS investment vehicles, and SCS model composites. Brad earned a B.S. from SUNY Plattsburgh majoring in Finance, Economics, Accounting, and Business, and is a CFA and CAIA Charterholder.

Kyle joined SCS Financial in 2015. Kyle is a Director on the private investments team and is focused on sourcing and evaluating private equity and venture capital investments. Prior to joining SCS, Kyle held internships at Vista Point Advisors, a technology-focused investment bank in San Francisco, and Poplar Partners, a private equity fund in New York City. Kyle earned a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Laura McDonough

Sam has over 17 years of experience working in the investment industry. As a Senior Analyst in the Investment Group, he focuses on hedge fund manager research and selection as well as portfolio construction and trading. Laura is a Director on the private investments team where she oversees the firm's activities in private real assets, private impact investments and takes a leading role in the research and diligence process for all private equity investments. She also works closely with the Global Asset Allocation team and Private Client Group to support the implementation of the firm's private investment program and ESG integration efforts. Laura serves on the Board of Directors of Operation Progress Boston.

Marcelo Vedovatto - COO

As COO, he's responsible for the strategy and governance of the firm's operating model, which includes execution of SCS's client and investment management services, portfolio advisory, compliance, technology, trading, and fund operations. Prior to his current role, he held several roles across SCS, beginning as an investment focused Client Advisor within the private client group, then building out the analytics group in the investment team, and ultimately overseeing the firm's asset allocation strategy, market and manager analytics, and research and risk management framework. Prior to joining SCS, Marcelo worked at John Hancock Investments and State Street in a similar capacity. Marcelo earned a B.S. in Finance from Bentley University and is a CFA Charterholder and a member of CFA Society Boston.

Melissa Schneberger

As Managing Director of Human Resources, Melissa manages the firm's people programs, process, and practices related to talent development, culture, and recruiting. Prior to her current role, she held a number of roles across SCS including Head of Project Management, Investments COO, Fixed Income Trader, Operations Analyst for hedge funds, performance, and portfolio accounting.

Michael Sweeny - Chief Compliance Officer

Michael has over 20 years of experience in investment management and serves as a Managing Director for Client Portfolio Management and a member of the Investment Committee. In this role, Michael helps set the firm's overall investment strategy, communicates that strategy to clients, implements investment programs across client portfolios, and plays a key role in new business development.. Michael came to SCS via its acquisition of Matheys Lane Capital Management (MLCM), where he served as Chief Investment Officer overseeing asset allocation, investment research, and client portfolios for the firm. Prior to joining MLCM, Michael was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at HighVista Strategies, where he oversaw internal and external investment strategies for the firm's endowment-style funds. Michael's responsibilities included both direct investments and partnerships with third party managers in both public and private markets. Before HighVista, Michael spent nearly a decade as an analyst/portfolio manager in the hedge fund industry, first for Trilogy Capital and Farallon Capital Management and then as founder of Stone Creek Partners, an investment affiliate of Tiger Management. Michael began his investment career in private equity at Thayer Capital and Riverstone Holdings after serving as an investment banking analyst at Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. Jonathan has over 16 years of investment compliance experience with investment advisors and broker/dealers. In his role he is responsible for designing the firm's compliance policies and procedures and overseeing the implementation of the firm's compliance program.

Nick Asselin

Pete co-founded SCS Financial in 2002 and is the firm's Executive Chairman. He has over 30 years of experience in investment management. His responsibilities include the management and strategy of SCS, as well as significant investment and client service activities. Prior to SCS, Pete was a Managing Director at Scudder, Stevens & Clark where he was on Scudder's Management Committee, He was Chairman and/or Director of several Scudder sponsored investment companies in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Pete began his career within the Investment Management Group of Drexel Burnham Lambert. Pete is a Senior Advisor at Consello, and currently serves on the Boards of Autograph.io, a leading NFT platform company, Brady Brand, an apparel company and Religion of Sports (Board Observer), a sports media company. Previously, he was on the Board of Universal Studios Japan until its acquisition by Comcast, TB12, a health and wellness business, Nucleus Scientific, an electric vehicle technology company, and Polyjoule, an energy storage business. Pete also served on the Boards of Concord Academy and Joslin Diabetes Center, the world's largest diabetes research center and clinic. He was Chairman of the Investment Committee at both institutions during his tenure. He earned a BA in Economics from Bucknell University.

As Director of Technology, Ryan is responsible for the firm's, Ryan is responsible for the firm's technology stack, development, and data security. Prior to joining SCS, Ryan spent 15 years at Fidelity Investments. While working at Fidelity, Ryan served in various roles across their enterprise technology division leading their executive services team and while in Fidelity's personal investing division, developing and implementing new ways to leverage technology in their customer experiences.
