Shari Saiman

Shari Saiman is a registered architect with over 20 years of experience in architectural design. A graduate of Columbia College and its School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, she worked extensively in residential, commercial, and institutional design prior to launching her own practice in 2013. She brings the sensibility of an artist to the rigor of strong design and construction, informed by Visual Arts studies at Columbia University and Parsons School of Design in New York. Attention to detail characterizes all scales of her architectural work. A veteran of architectural firms Ballinger and Payette, Shari has worked for over a decade in science, medical and engineering design, implementing cutting-edge technologies in healthcare and educational settings. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and an EDAC-certified architect (Evidence-Based Design Accreditation), promoting a research- and evidence-based approach to healthcare facility design. Prior to this, Shari spent many years as a residential designer working under published architects Wayne Turett of Turett Collaborative Architects and David Mann of MR Architecture and Decor in New York City, and subsequently Prescott Muir in Salt Lake City.
