Nobody ever said it better than Hal Pollock. The art of writing song lyrics is the art of finding the perfect words. I am a journalist and writer... I have known Hal since 1980. For the next two decades I became intimately familiar with his legal skills. Suffice it to say that if you are in a legal battle you want Hal on your side... Fast forward 20 years to 1999. I was doing some writing in Hal's suite. Something astonishing happened. Tired of perceived failures of the justice system Hal decided to become the world's most famous songwriter. He walked into the office one morning and handed me a set of lyrics for a song called Know You By Heart. Hal explained that he had written the lyrics to an instrumental track off a newly released Dave Koz CD, The Danc e. Hal had fallen in love with the track.
