Adam has 28 years of experience in the construction industry, working with Tier 1 building firms. He has been a Construction Manager on major projects in the ACT, including the Alexander Maconochie Centre, Acton South ‘The Apartments', ‘Nishi', ‘Palko-Nibu', and the Stromlo Leisure Centre. Adam prioritises safety on-site and leads the internal training group at SHAPE, teaching the team about buildability strategies, personnel development, and contract management.

Adam joined SHAPE in 2008 as a Project Manager and has held several roles since, including Commercial Manager, Group Manager of Design & Construct, and most recently General Manager of Victoria. With more than 20 years of project management and construction experience, Adam offers a detailed understanding of project delivery. Through a partnership approach, Adam collaborates with clients in the office, hotel, education, healthcare, retail and speciality sectors to deliver projects on time and defect-free.

Aiden Barnes

Aiden's past roles as a Site and Project Manager and extensive experience with projects ranging in complexity throughout Australia, the UK and South Africa, play into his approach as an Estimating Manager. Aiden's exposure to all phases of a project allows him to lead a highly successful and enthusiastic team of estimators. He is solutions-driven with a strong focus on subcontractor relationships, teamwork, and attention to detail. Andrew Pickering

Anita Brazzale

In her 25+ years in commercial fit out and refurbishment, Anita has worked in project management, estimating and training/mentoring roles. As Commercial Manager of Bid and Strategy, she has combined her acquired skills and industry knowledge to lead the Bid team from the identification of business opportunities, through to submission and tender evaluation processes. As she understands the complexities of each individual client and project, Anita makes it her priority to ensure our teams understand key client and project requirements from the start to finish.

Arsanous Gerges

When George joined SHAPE in 2007, he brought extensive experience gained both in Australia and overseas working on multi-million dollar, low- and high-rise developments, commercial fitouts, schools and heritage refurbishments. George's background stems from his Honours Degree in Structural Engineering, subsequent qualifications, and his vast experience in project management. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from UniSA. Life George enjoys beach walks, spending quality time with his wife and two sons, and is a keen Liverpool fan. He is always learning through reading, self-reflection and consulting with others.

Ashby Baron

Ashby joined SHAPE Adelaide in early 2013. After relocated to WA, where he delivered the $18 million Westpac Perth office fitout, Ashby returned to his hometown to work as Project Director for the Adelaide team in 2022. He has a particular strength and enthusiasm for customer service and satisfaction, executed at a high standard. His experience in the construction industry varies across many roles and sectors, and he is renowned for his excellent work ethic and a high level of commitment.

Belinda Montgomery

Belinda has more than 20 years' experience as a lawyer in Australia and internationally, specialising in construction law. Prior to joining SHAPE in 2022, Belinda had a long history working as a lawyer with construction contractors, including at Lendlease, Abigroup and UGL. Belinda has also worked at major law firms in both Australia and Hong Kong, including Minter Ellison and K&L Gates.

Ben Mahmoud

Ben started in the industry in 2011 after completing a Bachelor of Applied Science Construction Management at RMIT University. He gained experience in estimating and contracts administrating, before joining SHAPE Melbourne in 2014 as a Project Coordinator. Ben is now Project Director, bringing a vast array of experience in projects ranging across education, government, commercial fitouts, sporting pavilions, and new builds. He is passionate about giving back to his community and finds it extremely rewarding to be involved with SHAPE's CSR initiatives.

Brad Hammond

A Canberra local, Brad started his career as a joiner before joining SHAPE in 2006 in site management. His focus became operations and safety, and he is now a senior leader in the ACT branch in this space. Client communication and satisfaction is Brad's primary focus when working on any project, which is evident through his great client relationships. His detailed knowledge of SHAPE's project delivery systems enables him to effectively manage the implementation of these systems to ensure a quality outcome for the client with respect to quality and work, health, safety, and environment (WHS&E).

Brett Perrot

Brett started his career as an apprentice carpenter/joiner more than 32 years ago. During his career, he has worked on projects up to $750m in both the residential and commercial sectors. Prior to working at SHAPE, Brett spent 15 years with Lendlease where he worked all over Australia. He is a passionate builder and even built a pub in Essex while backpacking through Europe.

Bronte Kerr

Beginning her career in Project Management for retail fitouts, Bronte found her passion for construction when she joined a builder (SHAPE) in 2017. Starting as Project Coordinator, she quickly moved through to the Project Manager role and has recently been given the opportunity of Business Development Manager for Victoria. Joining the Senior Leadership team in 2022 has been one of her greatest career achievements to date.

Bruce Standing

Bruce has over 35 years' experience in the building and construction industry across all sectors of the Australian market. He has led the SHAPE NSW Estimating team since 2002. Bruce specialises in project cost planning and the management of diverse and complicated refurbishment and fitout projects. Combining attention to detail with commercial reality, Bruce provides clients with critical cost plan analysis and trade procurement management.

Cameron Aitken

Cameron brings more than 20 years of construction industry experience in Australia and the UK to his role as the national leader of SHAPE's modular capabilities. Having spent more than 15 years with SHAPE, both in Sydney and Melbourne, Cameron has a reputation for solving complex problems and delivering technically challenging construction projects. His expertise in risk management, stakeholder management and customer experience are what drives the exceptional outcomes on his projects.

Cameron McAndrew

Cameron is a qualified Carpenter by trade and very much the ‘builders' builder'. He thrives on the structured nature of the construction game and loves being the go-to person to solve complex buildability and high risk works scopes. Since starting at SHAPE in 2009, Cameron has held several roles, from Site Management to Construction Management and his current role as Operations Manager.

Campbell Burgess

Originally from a trade background, Campbell has more than 15 years' experience in the construction industry, holding various positions at SHAPE in Site Management, Estimating, and Project Management. Campbell's great understanding of working within operational environments and his track record for excellent client communication allows him to deliver projects on time and defect free, while achieving the key client value.

Cherie Lancaster

After completing a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Human Resources, Cherie landed a HR role within property and construction, and was hooked on the industry. Working as part of the People & Culture Team since 2009, Cherie looks after all things people, with her main purpose being to support the leaders to make SHAPE a great place to work. This means getting involved in recruitment, learning and development, leadership coaching, remuneration and benefits, and organisational culture.

Chris Rigden

Chris began his career as a builder's labourer back in 2008 and has since had experience on client, builder, and developer sides. He also spent four years working in construction in the UK. Since joining SHAPE, he's worked in multiple roles including Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Site Management and Commercial Management, with experience in demolition, refurb, fitout and new build projects. This broad experience has given Chris extensive insight and knowledge of the construction industry.

Craig van der Laan

Damian La Rosa

Having held various positions at SHAPE over the past 20 years, Damian brings substantial and varied experience to General Manager of WA. He has a solid knowledge of building and construction after fulfilling roles from Site Manager through to Commercial Manager. Damian's vast experience spans a range of disciplines, comprising new build, commercial, refurbishment and office fitouts across hospitals, commercial offices, computer/data centres, retail outlets, courtrooms, hotels, and base building upgrades. His extensive construction experience allows him to lead the WA team successfully and provides clients with reassurance for successful project outcomes.

Daniel Marshall

David Reid

David began his career as a carpenter over 25 years ago and has been a valued SHAPE team member for 9 of them. As the Operations Manager for NSW, David is responsible for monitoring and improving performance across all SHAPE projects. The role involves ensuring the best possible outcomes for all stakeholders, with a strong focus on coaching and mentoring of project and site teams. He oversees all aspects of project delivery, including OHS compliance, SHAPE systems, client services, time and quality requirements and maintaining a regular site presence for monitoring and reviewing purposes.

David Wood

David began his career in the construction industry in 2002 as a carpenter and since then has gained experience in all aspects of building, including managing teams of up to 50+ people and overseeing up to 200+ contractors. David has worked on award-winning projects ranging from $500,000 to $200 million in both commercial and high-end residential sectors. Throughout his career, he has gained experience in a variety of sectors including casinos, hotels, hospitality, health, education, corporate offices, and government.

Dean Fraser

He first qualified as an electrician and later completed a Construction Management and Economics degree with Honours at the UniSA. Dionne Field

She has worked in various roles at SHAPE for over a decade and is currently serving as the ACT Office Manager. Fergal Prunty

Prior to his appointment as Operations Manager, Fergal worked as a Site Manager for SHAPE. Gareth Simmons

Beginning his career in Sydney as a Carpenter, Gareth now has over 20 years' experience in the building and construction industry. Since joining SHAPE for the second time in 2018, he has fulfilled the roles of Senior Site Manager, Construction Manager and is now QLD's Operations Manager. Gareth has played a huge part in developing the QLD Team's culture into the diverse and inclusive team they are today, particularly through championing their Gender Action Plan committee.

George Panacheril

Grant Patterson

James Fitzgerald

Jane Lloyd

Jane joined the SHAPE board in October 2021. She has more than 29 years of experience in the Australian and international property markets across the commercial, retail, industrial and residential sectors. Jane is a Non-Executive Director of ISPT, a member of the Australian Prime Property Fund (APPF) Retail Investment Review Committee, and a Global Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and a board member of Habilis Housing Limited. Her executive career included 2 years as Stockland's General Manager of Development and Design, Commercial Property and 11 years at DEXUS, culminating in her role as Managing Director of US Investments. Jane started her career in the development business of Lendlease. Jane has a Bachelor of Town Planning (Hons), a Masters of Business Administration from AGSM/UNSW and a Masters of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. Jane is a member of the Audit & Risk Committee, Remuneration & HR Committee and Nomination Committee.

Jasmin Taylor

Jazz has more than 14 years' experience in large scale fitout and refurbishment projects, greenfield and brownfield sites, and rail and underground mining. Jazz provides Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) management on a national scale, including management and assistance for Green Star projects (60+ projects) and the creation of management system procedures which aim to promote environmental management, national auditing, quality assurance and quality control management. She champions CSR initiatives through organisations such as Mates in Construction, is ASIST trained, a Green Building Council of Australia Registered GSAP, and a trained ICAM Auditor. Life Jazz lives on the NSW Central Coast with her husband, two young children, and lots of chickens. She is very involved in her local parent run community pre-school and is also a keen Netball player and coach.

Jason Ngai

Jim Sloman

Jim is a Civil Engineer with over 23 years of experience in project and business management with Lend Lease and was the Chief Operating Officer for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He has been a Non-Executive Director of several ASX listed companies, the most recent was the Goodman Group (2006 - 2019). Jim was also the Executive Chairman of Laing O'Rourke Australia from 2010 until 2021, where he was responsible for strategy and corporate direction and leading construction and investment strategy implementation across the Australian hub. Jim remains an Advisor to the Chairman and Managing Director of Laing O'Rourke. Jim chairs the Nomination Committee and is a member of the People and Remuneration Committee.

Jodie Pitcher

Jodie has worked with SHAPE since 2006 in a Business Development Role. Her career began after completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design, where she practised as a designer for 10 years across SA and QLD, specialising in commercial and retail fitouts for government and corporate clients. Jodie has also worked as a Senior Project Consultant for a commercial furniture supplier providing her with great insight into the SA property industry.

Kate Evans

Responsible for the People, Brand and Communications functions at SHAPE, Kate provides strategic direction to drive employee performance and enhance customer satisfaction to achieve business goals. Since commencing with SHAPE in 2004, Kate has been integral in creating a formal human resources function, building leadership capabilities and developing a highly constructive culture. More recently, Kate has added the marketing and communication functions to her portfolio, steering a marketing, brand and CX strategy that generates repeat work and long-term business growth. Kate commenced with SHAPE in 2004 as our NSW Office Manager. She then helped introduce formal HR services to SHAPE in 2006 before formally moving into the People Culture area of the business. Kate plans, organises and implements leadership development, organisational culture, learning and development, recruitment, remuneration, benefits and performance management. She also oversees our Marketing & Communications function. With a Diploma of Business (Human Resources), Kate enjoys being part of an effective leadership team that drives business results through highly engaged and motivated employees.

Kathy Parson

Keeta Welch

Since starting with the SHAPE NT team at just 18 years of age, Keeta has risen to become Commercial Manager - Delivery. Over the last decade, she has delivered some of the Northern Territory's most exclusive projects for both local and national key clients. Her high attention to detail, integrity, and client focus ensures a high-quality and professional experience is provided to clients throughout all stages of delivery. Keeta has been recognised for her contributions to the Northern Territory construction industry with the Master Builders NT Women in Construction Award in 2020 and the NT Property Council of Australia and Hames Sharley Future Leader of the Year Award in 2022. She is SHAPE NT's State Diversity and Inclusion Champion and is also an active member in the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). Life Keeta is a born and bred Territorian who loves fishing, camping, dancing, rugby league, and travelling abroad.

Kevin Hodson

Laura Edwards

Prior to commencing with SHAPE, Laura was employed by WIDAC (Women in Design and Construction) as the Client Relationship Manager, where she created, maintained, and nurtured relationships between the company and external clients. Prior to this, she worked for Virgin Australia in Recruitment/HR and Business Development. Since starting at SHAPE Laura has worked in a Business Support role to assist the Queensland Team in the day-to-day operations as well as support the Leadership team in delivering business strategies and goals.

Leah Collins

Leah joined SHAPE's Sydney office as a Project Coordinator in 2014. She then moved over to the Estimating team and rose quickly to become Senior Estimator. When Leah and her family relocated to Queensland, she joined the SHAPE Brisbane team and is now based in the Gold Coast office. Leah brings a wealth of construction industry experience and has tendered for projects ranging from minor works to $100m. She also has experience working in Civil Engineering and Mining and holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Post Graduate Diploma of Property.

Letitia Wing

As Project Manager, Letitia assists in all aspects of head contract and subcontract administration, cost control, site management, and quality.

Linden Denholm

During his career, Linden has developed an open and honest approach to all aspects of construction, with a focus on understanding a client's key drivers and how to best exceed them. His experience delivering multi-million-dollar projects, commitment to sustainability and passion for building a constructive workplace makes him the ideal candidate to head up SHAPE Newcastle and shape the city he loves.

Mark Mikoljczak

Mark has been a part of SHAPE since 1995, starting as a Building Cadet. He is a knowledgeable member of the team, with a focus on the local market in Canberra. Michael Barnes

Michael joined SHAPE in 1990, rising steadily from Project Manager to ACT Manager and Chief Executive Officer in 1997. After twenty years, he retired as CEO in 2017 and now remains on the board as a Non-Executive Director. Michael holds a degree in Civil Engineering and has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Michael was a Director of the Green Building Council of Australia and a founding Director of the majority Indigenous-owned construction fit-out and refurbishment business, DLG SHAPE. Michael is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.

Michael Buddee

He has almost 30 years' experience in the construction and not-for-profit space, and currently holds advisory positions with Western Sydney University and UTS, plus is the Deputy Chair of Property Council of Australia's NSW Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

Nicholas has been working with SHAPE since 2008, starting as a Site Supervisor with a can-do attitude and a desire to learn and develop. He has progressed from site roles to project management while gaining experience and leadership capabilities across four of SHAPE's branch, including Darwin, Perth, Sydney, and Brisbane. In his previous role as Regional Manager, Nicholas contributed to significant growth for the NT branch, which has more than doubled in size since 2017.

Osman Dincer

As a Commercial Manager, he has led the delivery of award-winning refurbishment projects and Green Star fitouts. He always applies his technical experience, creative problem-solving skills, and innovative ideas to SHAPE projects big and small, as well as being passionately involved in SHAPE's charity initiatives.

Paul Barnett

Peter Marix-Evans - CEO

Peter was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in December 2017. After joining SHAPE in 2011 as the Group Executive and General Manager of NSW, he became Chief Operating Officer in August 2016. Peter brings over 30 years of wide-ranging construction and industry experience, including senior roles in both commercial and public sectors, including risk and commercial management, customer experience and environmental health and safety (EHS). Before joining SHAPE, Peter held several operational and strategic management positions at Lendlease, including General Manager for NSW, Operations Manager for ACT, National Operations Manager and Head of EHS for the Asia Pacific. He has a particular passion for customer experience, as well as developing and leading high-performance teams.

Phillip Smith

Phillip has over 30 years' experience in the building industry and holds trade, construction, strategic leadership and WHS qualifications. Responsible for all aspects of Environment, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ), Phillip champions SHAPE's safety-first culture using a progressive yet practical approach to project management systems. He was instrumental in transitioning the business to Procore project delivery system, oversaw the development of the industry-leading SMS safety app, and more recently, extended his focus to the Supply Chain and Commercial Risk functions. A member of the Asbestos & Hazmat Removal Contractors Association, Asbestos Education Committee and the OFSC Industry Reference Group, Phillip strongly advocates for asbestos awareness. Before joining SHAPE in 2005, Phil accrued 20 years of building experience with the QLD State Government, concluding in 2004 Phil is responsible for all aspects of Environment, Health, Safety and Quality. He champions our safety-first culture using a progressive yet practical approach to our project-management systems. Phil was instrumental in our transition to Procore (our core project delivery system), oversaw the development of the SHAPE Minimum Standards (SMS) mobile app and, more recently, has extended his focus to our Supply Chain and Commercial Risk functions. Phil holds QBCC Open Supervisor, Low Rise Builder and Carpentry & Joinery licences, a WHS Diploma and Lead Investigation qualifications.

While at SHAPE, he has worked from start to finish with large clients such as the Rabobank, Allianz, Amazon, Ausgrid, and Salesforce.

Sam Ciccia

Sam has been in the construction industry for more than 20 years and has considerable experience in delivering new build, complex external refurbishments, and fitout projects. Having owned his own business, he is mindful of client requirements and delivery standards to ensure all expectations are met. Delivering cladding projects in live environments across NSW, Sam has demonstrated his ability to coordinate contract obligations, lead project teams, and ensure the highest safety standards. He is a qualified carpenter and joiner.

Scott Henderson

He ran his own construction company for several years before transitioning into Project Management. After working as an External Auditor of SHAPE for seven years, Scott joined SHAPE in 2008 as Financial Controller. Scott has a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and Finance from the University of Technology, Sydney, and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor. Scott is responsible for SHAPE's financial functions, including risk management and support as the business executes its strategies and initiatives.

Simon Kirby

He joined SHAPE to drive the delivery of The Star Main Gaming Floor project which involved high-quality finishes, complex services and staging. Tom is a constructive leader that excels at creating and maintaining relationships between all stakeholders while motivating his team to achieve successful project deliveries every time. Born into a family of Architects, Tom formed a passion for construction from an early age. Originally from Mildura, Victoria, he is an avid sports fan and a cult member of St Kilda Football Club. He enjoys travel, wine, and food, particularly cooking Italian cuisine, and staying active with his wife Danni and two dogs Lenny and Willow.
