I suspect that most people that are shopping for these are trying to reduce their waste. After looking at various brands of bamboo toothbrushes, I went with these because others had plastic windows in the packaging, which seemed to kind of defeat the purpose. These brushes come in recyclable boxes. The bristles are soft and their shape is great. I love them, and will be getting them from now on
