Carrie Merrick

Carrie is a senior mental health nurse with experience in wide range of clinical settings. She provides assessment, case management and counselling. Carrie is a senior mental health nurse who offers assessment, case management and counselling services at Spectrum. Her extensive public sector experience includes work in emergency, mental health triage, consultation-liaison and community settings. She holds a Masters in Mental Health Nursing and plans to pursue qualifications as a Nurse Practitioner.

Dr Bradleigh Hayhow

Dr Bradleigh Hayhow is a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist and Director of Spectrum Clinic. He is currently accepting referrals for diagnostic assessment only. Dr Hayhow obtained his primary medical degree from Flinders University in South Australia after first completing an Honours degree in Philosophy at the University of Adelaide. In the course of his specialist training he undertook a research-based Masters degree in Affective Neuroscience through the University of Maastricht and completed clinical and academic fellowships at the Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Unit. Dr Hayhow is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and an accredited member of the RANZCP Faculty of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. He also sits on the RANZCP Section of Neuropsychiatry Bi-National Committee. Dr Hayhow's main professional interests are in adults with with autism and other developmental disorders, epilepsy, brain injury and neurodegenerative disorders. When he is not at Spectrum he works as a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at Fiona Stanley Hospital and is Discipline Lead in Psychiatry at the University of Notre Dame.

Dr Briony Hart

Dr Briony Hart is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Spectrum Clinic. She sees a wide range of patients and has a special interest in transgender psychiatry. She is not currently accepting new patients. Dr Hart graduated in Medicine from the University of Bristol in 2002 having intercalated in Bioethics in 2000. She worked and travelled internationally before settling to live in WA. Dr Hart has a varied range of interests within Psychiatry. She holds a part-time role running the Community arm of the Fremantle Older Adult Mental Health Service.

Dr Claire Ciesla

Dr Ciesla is a Clinical Psychologist with experience in a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to individual and family needs. Dr Ciesla completed her Master of Clinical Psychology and PhD at the University of Western Australia. She has worked with children, teens, and adults in both hospital and community settings. She has worked in the not-for-profit sector with neurodivergent children and their families, and recently moved to private practice to focus on working with autistic teens and adults. Claire has experience working with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma (PTSD, complex trauma), obsessive compulsive disorder, LGBTIQA+ related issues, grief/loss, life transitions/adjustment issues, and parenting/family difficulties.

Dr Dawn Barker

Dr Dawn Barker is a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with interests in youth and young adult psychiatry. She is currently accepting assessment referrals for patients aged 16-25. Dr Barker holds a medical degree from the University of Aberdeen, UK, where she began training in Psychiatry before completing this in Sydney, NSW, then WA. She received Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and a Certificate of Advanced Training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in 2008. Dr Barker won the RANZCP's Maddison Medallion for the most meritorious performance during psychiatric training. Dr Barker has experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She previously worked as a Consultant C&A Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist managing children with comorbid medical and physical conditions. Since then, she has worked in private clinical practice with children, adolescents and young adults, and also works in civil forensic & medicolegal practice. Dr Barker is an active psychiatrist member of the Mental Health Tribunal of Western Australia.

Dr Felicity Sewell

Dr Jacenta Goga

Dr Goga is a senior Clinical Neuropsychologist. She is accepting referrals for both assessment and neurorehabilitative therapies. Dr Goga has a Bachelor of Behavioural Science with Honours and a Professional Doctorate (by Research) in Clinical Neuropsychology from La Trobe University (Victoria). Dr Goga is a registered Psychologist with endorsement as a Clinical Neuropsychologist with AHPRA. She is also a member of Australian Psychology Society (MAPS) and a Fellow of the College of Clinical Neuropsychology (FCCN). Dr Goga has significant experience working as a Clinical Neuropsychologist within both the private and public sectors since 2013. She is currently the Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and has previously worked at the State Neurosciences Unit and the State Rehabilitation Service at Fiona Stanley Hospital. She has a diverse range of professional interests including working with adults (16+) with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, psychiatric conditions, acquired brain injury, general medicine, neurodegenerative disorders, capacity assesments, fitness to work, and medicolegal. She also enjoys being supervisor to postgraduate neuropsychology students and neuropsychology graduate registrar clinicians.

Dr Jasmyne Sanderson

Dr Sanderson is a Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar. She is accepting referrals for both assessment and neurorehabilitative therapies. Dr Sanderson is a Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar who recently completed her Master of Clinical Neuropsychology and PhD at the University of Western Australia. In her clinical work, she has experience conducting neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults and older adults. She also has experience working in both private and public sectors. Her areas of interest include neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, ASD and learning disorders, as well as working with older adults who may be experiencing thinking and memory changes. In her assessments, Jasmyne adopts a warm and sensitive approach to facilitate a comfortable space to explore each client's cognitive strengths and weaknesses.

Emma Morgan

Emma is an occupational therapist with 20 years experience. She has worked extensively with adults and children in the areas of mental health and disability. Emma has seen firsthand the need for a service which can cater for the mental health needs of those on the autism spectrum. She enjoys both individual therapy and group work and as an occupational therapist her primary focus is on increasing quality of life through meaningful goals and activities. Emma leads the occupational therapy stream of Spectrum Clinic.

Jessica Stockwell

Jess is an Occupational Therapist with close to 20 years experience. She has worked in numerous clinical settings in WA and Queensland and specialises in autism, mental health and positive behaviour support. She loves helping people to achieve a good quality of life and wellbeing across all areas of their lives. She enjoys working with people individually and in group settings

Sally Coombs

Sally has been a practicing occupational therapist since 2002 and has worked predominantly in WA mental health and disability services. She has recently relocated to the south-west but continues to provide Telehealth services. Sally has been a practicing occupational therapist since 2002. She has completed a master in public health and a bachelor of science, and has worked predominantly in WA mental health and disability services. Sally has also worked in the UK and volunteered overseas to promote inclusion of people with a disability. As an occupational therapist Sally is passionate about supporting people to engage in activities that increase their well being and life satisfaction. She has specialist skills in sensory processing and emotional regulation, youth mental health, attention deficits and disability.

Sergio Starkstein

Emeritus Professor Sergio Starkstein is a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist and Autism researcher. He has recently retired from full-time clinical practice but remains actively engaged in research and supervision. Professor Sergio Starkstein received his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires before completing his PhD and postgraduate training in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University. He is a distinguished researcher with special interests in autism spectrum disorder, Parkinson disease and stroke, and has several decades of clinical experience in the assessment and management of ASD and related neuropsychiatric conditions.
