Sundaram Forgings, previously known as Precision Forgings was established at Chennai, India as a family run business in the year 1977. The company started its operation with a 150 Ton screw press for manufacturing small components up to a weight of 400 grams. Now it has transformed itself into a forge shop with a battery of machines including Drop Hammers and Screw press of varied capacity, increasing the total capacity of the plant to 2400 MT per year. When the company began it produced forgings only from carbon and alloy steels. Later the company has developed the capability of forging many more materials including Brass, Copper, Stainless Steel and Aluminium... In the year 1985, a machine shop was established to fully finish the forged components and suit the customer requirements.
