Given the growing medical tourism industry, we are embarking on an extensive expansion plan next to the existing hospital building to better cater to the international market. Tower C commenced its first phase of operations in October 2016 with the new Cancer and Radiosurgery Centre and Nuclear Medicine Centre. It also houses other Centres of Excellence such as Digestive Health Centre, Bone and Joint Centre and the expanded Haemodialysis Centre. The second phase, with a 10-level tower, that houses all single-room wards and consultation suites, started its operations in 2017. With the opening of Tower D, E and F in 2023, SMC is Malaysia's largest private hospital with 724 licensed beds, 492 consultation suites and 26 operating theatres.
