Jake Martin - Jake grew up in Palo Alto, California and has a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University, as well as an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He worked in the print manufacturing industry for RR Donnelley as a strategic business consultant for four years after graduating, partnering with the United States sales teams to increase revenue, and acting as a liaison between the state- side reps and RR Donnelley's global manufacturing facilities. While at business school, he interned with Goldman Sachs' private wealth management team in San Francisco, building his networking, prospecting and relationship management skills while also learning how to communicate complicated market movements to families and individuals depending on solid advice. After Duke, he joined Gainsight, a fast-growing technology startup in the Bay Area as a business development associate and was quickly promoted to a role on the account executive team, helping drive new business through strategic outreach and a rigorous closing methodology. During this time, Jake moved to Charlotte to join his girlfriend (now wife) and became interested in the concept of operating a small business. He spent a year working for the CEO of a local video production company, and eventually decided to pursue a career as a franchisee. After extensive research into the industry, he was introduced to the founders of LaundroLab and is now a multi-unit franchisee with his first of three locations set to open in January.
