Medical strategies and drug discovery at Space Biologics are initiated in the laboratory and are driven by results from decades of research on the molecular mechanism of muscle function and disfunction in humans. Machine learning-based platforms are being used on large datasets obtained from both molecular and clinical studies, to design and develop new strategies of gene therapies and the development of new generation of drugs that will overcome muscle wasting in microgravity and enable long-term human space travel.
