Ignacio has more than 25 years of professional experience with a dual background in Engineering (MSc Civil Engineering) and Economics (PhD in economics). He has strong commercial, managerial and legal experience In the LNG and natural gas sector in many countries, in different international business environments and in different roles. He has been actively involved in the development of new projects (including Project Finance) as well as the negotiation (and renegotiation) of many LNG and natural Gas Contracts with many counterparties. He served as Board Member and Member of the Shareholders Management Committee of Qalhat LNG in the Sultanate of Oman and as Toller Representative in the Spanish Egyptian Gas Company (SEGAS) in Egypt. He was directly involved in the management and business plan execution of these large LNG assets. He has also participated in M&A processes as well as in the refinancing of large LNG assets, as an expert in assets and contracts valuation and financial models. He also has extensive legal knowledge, and has successful managed numerous disputes and arbitrations. These cover both commercial & financial arbitrations and investment disputes under Bilateral Investment Treaties under different rules (ICC, CIADI, CRICA), and under different legal systems; English, Egyptian, and Spanish. He has also been very active in the academic arena as an Associate Professor of the University Polytechnic of Madrid. He has contributed to numerous different studies, and acted as Member of the Hydrocarbon Committee of the Observatoire Mediterranean de l'Energie (OME).

With more than thirty years in the oil and gas industry, Murray has established himself as an experienced commercial lead having negotiated and managed natural gas and LNG sales agreements, gas transportation agreements, crude oil sales, crude oil shipping contracts and joint-venture commercial agreements.
