Alex Clarkson

Alex is an experienced corporate financier, investor and co-founder. Having spent his early years in Transaction Services and Due Diligence with PwC, he has since developed a broad range of advisory skills and trusted relationships across capital markets with a range of UK equity investors, private equity firms, high net worth individuals and banks. After PwC, Alex spent three years in Corporate Finance as part of the respected Brewin Dolphin Corporate Advisory and Broking team. Alex has been key to establishing and creating value in numerous companies including Zeus Group and Collagen Solutions.

Chris Brinsmead

Chris worked in the Pharmaceutical industry for over thirty years, holding executive leadership roles with ICI and Zeneca before becoming Chairman of Astrazeneca Pharmaceuticals UK. He is a Non-Executive director of several private and listed companies and a Member of Council at Imperial College. Chris was appointed a CBE in January 2015.

David Evans

David is an experienced Chairman and investor. He has a strong track record in taking companies through the IPO process and delivering significant value to shareholders, he has considerable M&A experience including cross-border deals with over 20 transactions completed in the diagnostics/life sciences space.

Gabriel Schwalbe

Gabriel joined the team from KPMG having spent 5 years in Deal Advisory across their M&A Advisory and Transaction Services functions, working on multi-sector domestic and international deals for private equity, corporate and owner-managed clients. He started his career in online retail management and business development roles in SMEs, in addition to internships at Barclays Corporate and Co op Group. Gabriel is ACA qualified and graduated from the University of Manchester with a first class degree in Economics and Finance.

Gajanan Dharmasena

Gaj joined the team from Argus Media, a commodity information services provider. During his 3 years in Argus' consulting department he specialised in fertiliser and agriculture markets with mandates including long term strategy, market fundamentals and data analysis. Prior to joining Argus Gaj covered Industrials during his internship at Wesleyan, an asset manager with £7+ billion AUM. He holds a BSc Hons from Lancaster University and an MSc from the London School of Economics.

Michael Parkinson

Michael has a broad range of corporate finance experience. Prior to joining Bamburgh Capital in 2016 Michael was CFO of an energy support services business, Cenergist. Before that he was a respected analyst and corporate stockbroker at Brewin Dolphin where he played a pivotal role in a number of successful IPOs and secondary fund raisings, he was ranked No 1 stock picker in Europe for the Support Services sector on two occasions. Michael started his career at PwC where he qualified as a chartered accountant and spent a number of years in the Transaction Services team.

Murdo Montgomery

Murdo is an experienced corporate finance and investor relations professional. As a former Director of UK Investment Banking at Credit Suisse, he has a wealth of transaction and equity market experience. This experience is complemented by senior finance/investor relations roles, including as IR Director of The Sage Group PLC and IR Director and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis at Venator Materials PLC. He started his career with HSBC, joining their corporate finance graduate training programme, after graduating from St. Andrews University.

Richard Evans

Richard has over 30 years' experience in investment banking, financial services and compliance. He spent the early part of his career with BDO in London, then worked with Brewin Dolphin's Corporate Advisory team in Manchester for over a decade before joining the FCA, where he focused on the supervision of overseas investment banks. More recently he was COO of the London-based boutique advisory firm Strand Hanson. He acted as Chairman of the Primary Markets Expert Group at the Quoted Companies Alliance and currently holds a variety of positions, including Risks and Regulatory Director at DSW Capital and he has joined the team at Bamburgh Capital as COO. Richard has strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a track record for achieving strategic objectives within highly regulated environments.

Stuart Sharp

Stuart's exceptional 30 year career in the investment industry began in Scotland with Aberdeen Trust. He then joined Yorkshire-based Rensburg Fund Management (now Franklin Templeton Investments) and was a founding member of its successful funds team. As Investment Director there for over 10 years he was instrumental in growing funds from £30 million to over £1 billion. He has won numerous UK investment industry awards for performance particularly in the Equity Income and UK Smaller Company sectors.

Thomas Brown

Tom joined the team from KPMG where he worked in the audit department, working on a wide variety of assignments across multiple sectors and including both publicly listed and private companies. Tom was also responsible for managing an offshore team based in India. Prior to joining KPMG Tom gained work experience in the energy sector. He has a strong interest in the renewables sector, having graduated from Leeds University in Chemistry with a focus on atmospheric chemistry and the environment.
