The Musicians of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra are cultural ambassadors who help elevate the state of Alabama on an international stage. We also bring the world to our own stages, classrooms, and communities. Not only do we carry on the tradition of classical music, but we make music from across genres a live, singular experience for the people of Alabama and the Southeast. We also foster connections with youth to develop the talent and creativity of the next generation. While performing through a pandemic has intensified the many steep challenges facing us all, we are committed to the tradition of excellence that has been passed on to us and that makes this community our home and yours... Over the course of 100 years, community leaders and arts patrons across Alabama have built an internationally known symphony orchestra with its home in Birmingham.
