Apple Valley Lake is located in Knox County Ohio, a beautiful rural area with gorgeous Knox county Ohio rolling hills and charming farms. Apple Valley Lake and the community sit in the middle of it all. Within 6 miles is the little town of Mt Vernon. (A very cute and historical area) Mt Vernon has fun little shops in the downtown area complete with book stores, crafts, and "Sips" coffee shop. The newer downtown has a Wal-Mart, Rural King, movie theater, grocery, and plenty of restaurants. Within a mile of Apple Valley Lake is the beautiful Kokosing Gap Trail. A walking/biking trails run near the Kokosing River... Apple Valley Lake is 511 acres and averages 30 feet deep. It is amazingly crystal clear. Most lakes in central and northeast Ohio average only 5-10ft.
