ARC OF VIGO COUNTY

The Arc of Vigo County was originally founded in 1966 by a group of interested parents, educators, business officials and other concerned citizens who recognized the importance of developing local programs to serve persons with developmental disabilities in the Wabash Valley area so that these individuals could remain with their families in the community, instead of being relocated to segregated institutional settings far away from home... Arc of Vigo County is a non-facility, family centered organization providing individualized community services to assist persons with disabilities in choosing where they live, work, and play. People know that we are in existence for our consumers and that we are willing to work with families, other agencies and the community at large to complete our mission.
