Erin Brown

With her extensive background in finance Erin provides commercial oversight and assists with company organisation and administration. She has a strong affinity to the outdoors, aligning with the core environmental values of Arete Architects. Erin has thoroughly enjoyed working in a creative environment and being an integral part of the establishment and ongoing growth of the practice.

Eva Albiston

Eva has recently obtained her Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) and is entering her first year of the masters programme at Victoria University. Eva started studying architecture due to her interest in painting and design and has developed that into a discerning architectural eye. Having grown up in Wellington, Eva has a strong connection to the city, and is inspired by the architectural challenges that it provides. She sees architecture as an opportunity to positively influence the way we experience our environments through thoughtful design, and believes everyone should be able to access good design. Eva's creative way of thinking is extremely valuable when coupled with her attention to detail, giving her the ability to apply good design to any level of a project.

Jonny Fletcher

Jonny's passion and optimistic outlook lends itself to the challenges architecture imposes. He is practically minded and a logical problem solver who excels in client engagement and building relationships. Jonny is a Wellingtonian through and through and has a deep connection with the city. He believes architecture plays a vital role in the contribution to the sense of place and culture of Wellington. The city offers a wide range of social and geographical environments suitable to his and Arete's approach. With 7 years' experience across residential, commercial and development, Jonny has a well-rounded understanding of the construction sector. His naturally positive approach and keen, refined eye for detail brings a unique perspective and response to the challenges each project possesses.

Sam Brown

Sam's past experiences, and desire for social and environmental betterment, have given him the focus to push architecture beyond the boundaries of the everyday. His engaging personality and ability to learn and adapt quickly make him a dynamic architect, who has spent the last eight years in architecture refining his craft. Over the years Sam has developed his passion for the vernacular into a strong driver in his approach to architecture. Whether it be challenging the concept of a place or engaging with specialists, specific groups, and the environment, knowledge of the immediate is paramount in his design consideration. Sam has a range of experience across many sectors of the construction industry. His experiences as a lead architect on many projects has given him a greater appreciation for the exciting challenges each unique project poses.
