BARTR - Key Persons
Paul is founder and CEO of Bartr Group. He began his career after graduating from law school in the UK with founding a private equity and advisory business in Azerbaijan. This brought him into contact with the unique challenges and opportunities present in emerging and frontier markets across a number of different sectors from agribusiness, telecoms and real estate to investment banking, commercial finance, oil and gas and renewable energy. He has spent time working closely with hedge fund managers including algorithmic trading and high-frequency trading specialists and has sat on the board of an investment fund focused investment opportunities in the emerging landscape of crypto and digital assets and the technologies that enable them. As the founder of Optionality Global, a capital raising and advisory business, Paul worked closely with founders, fund managers and executives of companies based in or focusing on frontier and emerging geographical and technology markets. Prior to founding Bartr Group, Paul was co-founder of a wholesale telecommunications business which led to a focus on designing and developing "blank sheet, big picture" distributed ledger and computing, AI and big data analytics technologies for application in global networked enterprise environments, with a focus on telecommunications.
