I began my journey into entrepreneurism in 1994 when I co-founded Netcast Communications. At Netcast we created one of the first new media companies. Netcast levered the Internet and IP multi-casting technology to deliver audio streams of music, news, talk, and sports programming augmented with links to related web content and e-tail. Netcast fundamental patents remain in force today... From 1997, I spent 8 years working at as an analyst and portfolio manager at 2 prominent money management firms, Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. and Sandler Capital Management. My years at the hedge funds were well spent as I honed my investment acumen through both boom and bust phases of the investment cycle. My experience in the public markets taught me the primacy of an insightful, independent thought combined with the patience to persevere.
