Bill Ibbitson

Bill Ibbitson has over forty years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Formal education includes a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (with Distinction) from the University of Alberta in Edmonton and a General Management Certificate PEGG (Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists) from the University of Calgary. Based on a solid engineering background in Facilities and Production Engineering, Bill has directed a wide variety of field operations and major projects in Canada and numerous international locations in the Middle East, South America, and West Africa. Leadership experience includes the roles of Country Manger position on four occasions and the position of Latin America General Manger for Rio Alto Exploration. His role as Operations Manager for Nexen's Block 51 in Yemen from development drilling and construction of the Central Processing Facility through to commissioning gave him an excellent background on the challenges and opportunities associated with working in Yemen

He has successfully led multiple asset teams in subsurface technical and economic evaluations, acquisitions and divestments. Internationally, at Sasol Exploration and Production, Darryl has worked world class conventional assets in Mozambique and offshore Gabon with a focus on dynamic modelling, corporate reserves assessment and field development planning.

David Mitchell

David Mitchell is a successful senior oil and gas executive and skilled director with more than 40 years proven track record in the international upstream arena, including with BP, Nexen, Madison and SDX.During this time, David has identified, discovered and acquired oil and gas fields in excess of one billion barrels with his teams and built projects in a wide variety of geographic and cultural settings including the Middle East, West Africa, Latin America and the North Sea. He has lived and worked in a number of countries including a year with BP Egypt in Cairo and two years as President and General Manager with Canadian Nexen Yemen/East al Hajr Ltd., resident in Sana'a. His key strengths are as a team builder, negotiator, oil finder and developer, while working closely with host governments. David rebuilt the private Madison PetroGas Ltd. following joining in 2008, raising capital and building the company by making a significant oil discovery in Egypt prior to engineering the reverse takeover merger with TSX-V listed Sea Dragon Energy Inc., to form LSE AIM listed SDX Energy Inc., where he continues as a non-executive Director. Resident in Calgary, Canada, Mr Mitchell received his B.Sc. Honours Geology from the University of London, UK and his M.Phil. Mining Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK.

Paul R. Baay

From 1998 to 2000, Paul was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Request Seismic Surveys Ltd. Thomas E. Valentine

Thomas E. Valentine has more than 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, both as a barrister and a solicitor. In 2002 and 2003, Thomas lived in Doha, Qatar, where he was senior counsel (projects) with Qatar Petroleum. While in Qatar, Thomas was responsible for a number of international gas and LNG projects, including projects in the United Kingdom (Qatargas II), India (RasGas) and Spain (Endesa Generacion). Since returning to Canada, Thomas's work continues to focus on oil, gas (including LNG) and project development work, including fiscal regime analysis and negotiations, E&P work, joint venture structuring, joint operations issues, purchase and sale agreements, and decommissioning obligations. He currently provides legal advice to various energy projects (both upstream and downstream) in Canada, Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan and Nigeria, as well as other countries throughout South America and the Middle East. Several times each year, Thomas delivers lectures and teaches workshops on oil and gas law in Singapore, Perth, Doha, London, Dubai, Seoul, Algeria, Brunei, Johannesburg, Rio and Mozambique. He holds undergraduate degrees from the University of British Columbia and Dalhousie University, and has a master's degree in Law from the London School of Economics. Thomas has been identified by Who's Who Legal as one of the world's leading practitioners in the field of energy law.
