Styles come and go and preferences vary immensely from person to person. Yet there is a common thread between all great styles - its quality of execution and design. Good design is a language, not a style. Good design is sometimes messy and often complex, yet always at its core it is simple and significant. One subconsciously recognizes good design whether or not we like that particular style... The alternative to good design is usually a missed opportunity at best or a space that feels outright uncomfortable or does not function at worst. There is no such thing as no design.
