Juliana Taylor - Founder

After tutoring both friends and family since 2012, our founder Juliana Taylor decided to start College Advantage Test Prep to give even more students an opportunity to realize their full potential, and bring the college of their dreams within reach. Juliana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton University and a Masters in Management Studies from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. She currently works in technology and her career includes stints in Accra, Washington D.C., Silicon Valley and Atlanta, working in Management Consulting, IOT, Edtech and Fintech.

Mya Jemison

Mya graduated from Princeton University in 2018, where she studied Global Health in the Spanish and Portuguese Department and earned certificates in African Studies, African American Studies, Environmental Science, and Latin American Studies. She is currently a Masters candidate in Computing in Education at Columbia University-Teachers College. Mya has tutored for the GRE®, ACT® and SAT®, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL), secondary school math and science, and RStudio for the social sciences in the United States, Tanzania, and South Africa. She is currently the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Edmobilizer and the 1vyG Conferences.

Nevena Rakonjac

Nevena graduated from Princeton University in 2013 with a degree in Chemistry and a Teaching Certification via the school's Teacher Preparation Program. She also holds a Masters in Education Policy from Columbia University - Teachers College. She has taught high school Chemistry and English in the US and the Republic of Georgia, and also has extensive experience developing and teaching school SAT® programs. Students who have participated in her program have seen their scores increase by up to 200 points and have gone on to study at Columbia University, NYU, and others. She currently works as the Director of Strategy and Partnerships at the New York City Department of Education.

Serena Sonderegger

Serena graduated Magna cum laude from Princeton University in 2014 with a degree in Economics. She has tutored for the ACT® and SAT®, as well as in Pre-calculus and Macroeconomics in the U.S. and Latin America. Serena also served as a peer tutor during her time at Princeton. Some of the high school students that Serena has tutored have gone on to attend New York University (NYU) and other prestigious institutions. Most recently, Serena has worked in international development with a focus on consulting and program implementation.
