David Deaton

David Deaton, Founder of Deaton Group, has over two decades of experience transforming organizations through strategic planning, market research, and effective execution including operational and financial analysis. David has extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative market analysis. He has worked in over 30 different countries helping to develop organizational strategy and departmental alignment, guide new teams and projects through effective launches, and help organizations plan for successful implementation. His experience includes supporting large corporations, hypergrowth businesses, and both national and local nonprofits. Recently, David has partnered with various nonprofits to improve their budgeting and financial planning to effectively use and secure more resources. He has conducted statewide trainings for partner organizations through the Virginia Department of Education on Strategy and Financial Leadership, and led numerous workshops on budgeting, scenario planning, financial leadership, and board financial management through the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE). David is a board development advisory committee member for the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation (CACF), advisory council member for the Early Music Access Project, and board member of the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council (CBIC). Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife and three teenage boys.

As an IAF Certified Professional Facilitator with 20 years of experience in the human development field, Leigh Ann is a skilled coach, trainer, and meeting facilitator working in North America, Canada, Europe and Asia with numerous Fortune Global 500 companies to help leaders cultivate cultures that are both highly productive and positive. For over two decades, Leigh Ann has cultivated a passion for people and teams. Motivated to provide solutions for the common challenges that all leaders and organizations face, she channeled her passions into creating the Better Teams Model and Assessment which includes five components, all critical for a high-performing team: Alignment, Readiness, Happiness, Leadership, and Trust. She has also founded Team Consultant Academy and Forward Membership to support the development of professionals serving leaders and teams.
