DesignMakeLearn (DML) was founded in 2021 by Christi Wilkins, after leaving Dramatic Results, an award-winning non-profit agency she founded in 1992 with a gift of $2,500 from her mother. Over the course of 30 years, Ms. Wilkins grew the Long Beach-based agency to have national reach (CA, MD and WI) due to their innovative and evidence-based programs. Ms. Wilkins has the additional distinction of securing six Arts in Education grants from the U.S. Department of Education, the only agency in California to achieve this distinction.
