Bita Shahrokhi

Bita Shahrokhi is the Accounting Administrator and Comptroller for Pacific M&A and Business Brokers Ltd. An essential component of the support team, Bita's role is to help ensure that all transactions are handled in accordance with Canadian law and best practice, and to provide accounting services for both brokers and employees. She is very detail-oriented, and is highly committed to the growth of both Pacific M&A and Business Brokers Ltd. and her own professional capacities. Bita earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and her Master of Arts in Accounting overseas and brings over eight years of work experience in a variety of accounting roles, both within Canada and internationally. She is currently pursuing her Canadian CPA designation through their Professional Education Program (PEP). Outside of the office, Bita enjoys hiking, tennis, and socializing with friends.

Craig White

Born in Australia, Craig spent his childhood actively participating in numerous sports as well as summer holidays working in the family business. It was this will to compete and quest for knowledge that allowed Craig to represent his country at numerous world championships in the sporting arena, which eventually led into pursuing a business career while traveling and competing abroad. After moving to Vancouver in 1991, Craig pursued professional golf for a period before moving full time into the business world. It was Craig's pursuit of excellence that quickly had him move through the ranks and become a leading consultant and senior executive to one of the world's largest travel organizations. During this period, Craig was involved in day-to-day operations as well as retail lease negotiations, recruitment and training, financial forecasting, and the study of demographics for growth and expansion. After several years in the airline and travel industry, Craig pursued a new entrepreneurial venture and purchased a business in the playground and amusement industry. After a successful period, which reflected a 400% growth in sales revenue over a five year period, Craig sold his business shares before undertaking numerous consulting roles in the Okanagan Valley. In addition to business admin and an executive business management education at the UBC Sauder School of Business, Craig is an accredited Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) as administered by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA). In Craig's spare time, he enjoys raising his two daughters as well as attempting to be competitive in golf, skiing, ocean kayaking, and cycling. Craig is also a member of numerous foundation leadership teams throughout the community where he continues to give back. In 2021, Craig was recognized as a new member of the M&A Source Executive Club along with the Chairman's Circle awarded by the IBBA. Most recently, he was elected to the Board of Directors where he serves as President of IBBA Canada.

David Xie

David holds MBA/Law degrees and has more than 10 years of multi-national corporate working experience with diverse responsibilities throughout general management, risk management, legal management, intellectual property, human resource and trade marketing across consulting, finance, automobile, IT, logistics, and FMCG industries in North America and Asia. He also has hands-on entrepreneur experience by founding and running his own businesses. With a passion to leverage his expertise to help small to medium enterprise owners or owners to build end realize their value, David provides a professional business intermediary consultancy. He serves as a seminar presenter with Small Business BC, mentors with Business Immigration Integration Support of S.U.C.C.E.S.S., facilitates with Self Employment Entrepreneur Development Society, and presents seminars with DIVERSEcity Employment Centre. David regularly writes a special column on Global Chinese Press and westca.com on business transactions. David holds the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation granted by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) to keep abreast with the leading knowledge and expertise of the industry and the Commercial Real Estate Trading Service license in British Columbia. Graduated with an MBA (with concentration in Finance) from HEC-Montreal and PhD in International Law from China, David is also bilingual - speaking English and Mandarin.

Frank Liu

Frank Liu is the Financial Analyst at Pacific M&A and Business Brokers Ltd. Working closely with brokers and advisors, he is responsible for all valuation-related analysis and industry research. Prior to joining Pacific, he has solid experience in completing complex investment analysis in real estate and the private equity industry. Frank holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration, in addition to successfully completing all three levels of the CFA program in his first attempt. He also has hands-on experience and knowledge of performing financial analysis by using programming languages (VBA, Python, and related libraries) and quantitative analytical techniques (statistical modelling). In his spare time, Frank operates a social media platform with 1,300+ followers in Canada and overseas, which is dedicated to sharing and engaging with newcomers, building community connections, and providing meaningful statistical analysis findings to local communities, and immigrant and settlement agencies.

Gabriel Nuarin

Gabriel Nuarin is the marketing coordinator and graphic designer at Pacific M&A and Business Brokers Ltd. He oversees the important stage of preparing to market a business for sale. He works closely with the brokers and M&A advisors to ensure that the client is comfortable and confident in going to market with their businesses. Being the youngest of the team, he brings in a fresh presence and a bright approach that is a contributing asset to Pacific's growth. His other day-to-day tasks include managing Pacific's social media presence, marketing, and branding. After graduating High School in the Philippines in 2012, Gabriel and his family moved to Vancouver, Canada. He spent the next couple of months trying to rebuild his path as moving to a new country presented brand new opportunities. He worked for some different projects, voluntary programs, retail stores, and luxury brands where he found his true calling - design. After some years of trial-and-error with different opportunities and programs, he graduated with a certificate in New Media & Web Development from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and eventually found a home with Pacific. Outside of the office, Gabriel spends his time traveling, gaming, binge-watching shows, playing basketball, and enjoying his new home. He is an avid shoe collector, proudly owning some well-beloved and well-known collector's items, and is also a hardcore NBA fan, supporting the New York Knicks.

Ian Houghton

Ian is a 10+ year seasoned M&A Advisor and Business Broker, and over the years has completed transactions ranging from smaller Main Street deals to much larger Middle Market multi-million dollar offerings. He is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) and Mergers & Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI), and has been presented with the International Business Broker Association's Outstanding Producer Award 2016 and 2017, and the Chairman's Circle Award for 2017 and 2018. A native of the UK, Ian arrived in Vancouver in 1988 and immediately became involved in the dynamic Canadian business world. While living in Canada, he has gained over 20 years experience working in electronics distribution, and supporting small to medium business enterprises. During this time, Ian worked in all facets of a multi-million dollar company taking on roles from Operations and Product Flow Management to Sales, Marketing, and finally senior management. Through his experience, and his role as VP International Sales and Marketing, Ian worked with teams covering three continents around the world and was instrumental in the sale of a major division of this business. As a result, Ian fully understands the process and attention to detail needed to successfully complete a business sale. Ian has always had a focus on the small to medium business entrepreneur, and learned quickly the importance of value added service and support required for business growth. During this time, he developed a deep understanding of all things eCommerce, both Amazon and Direct-to-Consumer. James now provides valuable insight to current leaders as well as helping innovate new and creative strategies in a rapidly changing environment. Jessica Craig

Prior to joining Pacific M&A and Business Brokers, Jessica Craig was working at a top Canadian bank as a business advisor. She has worked with local business owners in Victoria for over 10 years. The decision to pursue her Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) Designation and join Pacific was an easy one to make, knowing it would align her passion for small business and helping people reach their exit strategy goals. Jessica holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Victoria, with a specialization in Strategy and Consulting from EDHEC Business school in France. She is working toward her CBI Designation and has completed her Canadian Securities Course as well as her Certification in Business Banking. Jessica is currently on the board of the Victoria Chapters of the Risk Management Association (RMA) and the Women in Leadership Foundation (WIL). She strives to be active in her community and is always learning from her involvement with these organizations. Kent Carter

Kent Carter is a third-generation entrepreneur who, in addition to investing in and running his own family businesses, has held senior executive roles in enterprises ranging from start-ups to publicly listed companies. He has a broad background in operations, management, corporate investment, capital raising, and M&A. Born in Saskatchewan and raised in Vancouver, Kent attended UBC where he graduated with a degree in engineering. After starting his career in consulting in Vancouver, he moved to Sydney, Australia, where he continued his studies in economics and finance. This led to a number of new opportunities and international postings. He was based in Asia for more than 25 years, where he held positions including Senior VP M&A for the China division of a NYSE-listed utility company, Managing Director of an investment firm under the sovereign wealth fund of Malaysia, and senior advisor to a boutique investment bank in Singapore. Kent has extensive experience in the structuring, analysis, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation of business acquisition / divestment transactions, having assessed hundreds as such opportunities and closed deals totalling more than $200 million (CAD) in value. Specific to Investment Banking and Business Brokerage, Mr. Bacinello holds mergers and acquisitions industry-specific designations as a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), Mergers and Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI), Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser (CMEA), and a Certified Senior Business Analyst (CSBA). As a serial entrepreneur, Mr. Bacinello has owned over 15 businesses in 9 different industries in both Canada and South Africa over the past 46 years and has garnered much knowledge and expertise in buying, selling, developing, and restructuring of privately held businesses. Through his own experiences, he recognizes that the process of selling or purchasing a business is a major undertaking. "There is a lot at stake, and it must be done right the first time.
