Basil Obed Chibueze

Basil Obed Chibueze is the Field Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at ETSDI and currently the Ebonyi State field representative for the implementation of Spotlight Initiative in the state. Basil is currently studying Economics at the National Open University of Nigeria and has worked in several capacities within private and public organisations. He has served as a Warehouse Supervisor/Stock Keeper/Data Entry in Yamaz Enterprises Limited (Indomie Company) between 2014 and 2018. He has also worked with Help a Child Smile Foundation, an NGO that carters for Children (Medicals) as a volunteer and Golden Heart Foundation which covers Non-Formal Education, Skill Acquisition, Medical Outreach, Religious Outreach, providing Basic Amenities (Drilling of Borehole, Construction/Renovation of School Building etc), Agriculture among others. Basil has skills in marketing, content creation and can navigate the social media. He also has an amazing Interaction and team management skills. He looks forward to having one of the leading advertising agency (online and offline) in the near future to ensure information reaches millions of people at ease.

Dr. Ikechukwu Kingsley

Dr. Ikechukwu Kingsley Ubaoji was born on 27 th September 1975. He holds both BSc. and MSc. in Applied Biochemistry in 1999 and 2004 respectively and also a PhD in Environmental Biochemistry in 2015, all from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Nigeria. Dr. Ikechukwu is a certified member of Professional Associations such as: Nutrition Society of Nigeria 2011, Institute of Charted Chemist (2010) and many others. He is a fellow of the Nigeria Society for Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (2007), Research Board of Advisors, the American Biographical Institute (2003). Dr. Ikechukwu has edited 22 papers, contributed to 34 Journal Articles, 3 International Collaboration & Technical Reports. Dr. Ikechukwu, through his projects and experiences in the academic field, has contributed immensely towards the provision of access to basic quality education which includes Family Life and Health Education to women and girls in communities in Nigeria. He is a multiple award-winning Academia, Awards from Netherlands Fellowship Program (NFP) Wageningen 2013, International Nutrition Foundation/EMF South Africa 2011. He is a keen public speaker, teacher and jogger. Dr. Ikechukwu is married to Miracle Amaka Ubaoji.

Glory Amarachi Brendan-Otuojor

Glory Amarachi Brendan-Otuojor is an Environmental Management Specialist and Development Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience supporting nonprofit and consulting organisations in developing and implementing projects in the fields of environment, climate change, water, sanitation and education in Nigeria and the Netherlands. She holds a Master's degree in Environment Science from UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education Netherlands and a Bachelor's degree in geography and Regional Planning from University of Uyo, Nigeria. Glory is versatile in non-profits management, policy advocacy, programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, proposal development and report writing. Her previous experiences include working as programmes Coordinator for Clean Energy and Safe Environment Initiative, an organisation that focuses on strategies for climate change mitigation and adaptation, advocacy for policy reforms and strengthening of policies for renewable energy development in Nigeria. Her contributions to the work of the organisation helped shape discussions around climate change responses and policies in Nigeria. In addition, Glory participated in pioneering advocacy for gender mainstreaming and youth participation in climate change programmes in Nigeria. She has also worked and volunteered in other capacities in the non-profit and consulting sector. Glory sees education as critical to individual's economic empowerment with a positive spillover effect on the society. Coming from a family of 11 siblings with parents who worked odd jobs to support the family, she worked hard to fund her education at University of Uyo, Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Regional Planning in 2008. Her quest for education and career advancement led her to seek study and scholarship opportunities abroad and in 2013, she was granted the Netherlands Fellowship Programme (now Orange Knowledge Programme) to pursue a master's degree at UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, Delft Netherlands where she graduated in 2015 with a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences with specialization in Environmental Planning and Management. Subsequently, Glory was selected for the 2015/2016 CEWAS Start-up Programme for Water, Sanitation and Natural Resources Entrepreneurs in Switzerland where she received training on business development in the water and sanitation sector. As the Head of Programmes of Education Today for Sustainable Development Initiative, Glory brings her versatility, experiences and understanding of the challenges of development in Nigeria to contribute to the implementation of the organization's programmes. Her experiences have afforded her a well-rounded skill sets which she deploys to improve programme planning, community advocacy, stakeholder engagement and relationship building, communication, negotiation, impact assessment and project monitoring. She also provides leadership, capacity building, programme support and team work environment to ensure timely and effective delivery of ETSDI's projects. Glory is a 2020 Teach SDGs Ambassador, Alumni of the Netherlands Fellowship Programme, LEAP Africa Alumni and a member of Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Network, African Youth Initiative on Climate Change, OSSAP-SDGs CSO Network as well as many other non-profit coalitions. She is the founder of Development Impact Pathfinders Initiative.

Lotanna Chigozie Ike

Lotanna Chigozie Ike is a creative, re-branding and analytics business developer with over 20 years experiences within Research, Sales, Marketing, Production and Publicity. He is skilled in excellent negotiation, customer contact and service skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership skills, and vast knowledge of e-commerce (creativity in work through modern days innovation). Having graduated from various universities (U.N.N, University of Abuja, Saylor Academy, Coursera), Lotanna has Diploma in computer science and qualifications in project Management professional, Accounting, Business Administration and Management, Small Business Management, and Brand Management. He has also participated in other training such as Providus Bank SME training and TEF - Fund Training.

Mr. Joseph Okeke - Chairman

Mr. Joseph Okeke is the Chairman of Education Today for Sustainable Development Initiative (ETSDI). He has been in development work for almost 10 years and has experience in reproductive health, youth interventions, education, governance, access and fragility. He has interest in bringing young people together, training and mentoring them so that their life can become meaningful for them, their parents and the society at large. Prior to becoming the Chairman of ETSDI, Mr. Joseph was into sports and sports development. He played professional football for several clubs in Nigeria including Yobe Desert Star, Flash Flamingos of Gombe and Federal Ministry of Works and Housing and NSITF Football Club. As a sports developer, he founded a football club called Maracana Football Club through which he helped young people with potential in football to get opportunity to showcase their talents. After retiring from playing football in 2017/2018 season, Mr. Joseph went into professional Refereeing. He became a referee with the Nigeria Referee Association (NRA), and also officiated in the highest football league, Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and a member of FCT FA Technical Committee Nigerian Referees Association. Also, Mr. Joseph is a businessman and loves to give back to the society. He is a Director with Reliant Electricity and Power Limited, Country Representative of Original Equipment Manufacturers of Transformer Protector, and Sergi Transformer Protector, France. He also owns a sports outfit - LOOKALIKE SPORTS LIMITED ABUJA. Mr. Joseph brings his vast knowledge and experiences to support ETSDI interventions in reducing HIV infections among adolescents and young people, sexual and gender-based violence and provision of quality education to women and girls. Through his leadership, ETSDI was able to secure funding from the European Union-United Nation's Spotlight Initiative and other indigenous Organizations. Mr. Joseph has NCE in Building Technology from Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe State. He was born in Jos Plateau state and married with four beautiful children.

Mr. Sunday Morris Ogbe

Sunday Morris Ogbe was the Project Manager at ETSDI until recently. Prior to his appointment, he has had over 9 years experiences working with over three Non-Governmental Organizations in the Education and Health Sectors as a teacher, Program Manager, Graphics Designer, Event planner/manager, Consultant and Social Change Advocate through advocacies, peer education, trainings, fundraising and awareness creation etc. As a pundit in the education and health sector with a knack for Early Childhood and Care Education Sub-Sector, Morris co-authored a magazine in 2013 titled "Understanding Your Child" and also participated during the development of the "Parent-Child Communication Toolkit" developed by the National Agency for the Control of AIDS-NACA" under the UNESCO's "Our Lives, Our Rights, Our Future" project in 2019 to bridge communication gaps between parents and children and stem the rising cases of early and unintended pregnancy, early sexual debut and exposure to sexually transmitted infections.

Nwobi Alma Adaobi

Until recently, Nwobi Alma Adaobi was the Finance and Administrative officer at ETSDI. Her 6 years experiences and practices focus on Human resources counselling, serving as the Liaison between the management and the staff in workforce development related matters in the organization. Having graduated from Madonna University Okija, with a degree in Public Administration in 2011, Master degree in 2018 from National Open University Abuja in Public Administration, Alma has developed necessary interpersonal, organizational and financial management skills which she brings to contribute to the growth of the organization. Alma has completed several internships and workshops in Assistant Administrative Training, Training on Sexual reproductive health and the host of others. She served as the Enugu state Data Enumerator during the National Health Account 2019 with the Federal Ministry of Health, also played a data logger role during the Nigeria Medical & Laboratory strategic Planning 2019. Prior to joining ETSDI, Alma was the director of AlmaWears Collection, a fashion consultancy firm and managing director of Almadobi LTD, a platform where Life skills and other entrepreneurial programs are inculcated into the subscribers and youths especially young girls are counseled on the importance of ‘Own Your Life'. She represented and aided the organization into drafting a complex customer and supply agreement. Alma is a member of Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered), and a volunteer member of Help Alive International. Her hobbies are reading, swimming and pattern/fabric designing.
