Chakchouka "shak-shoe-ka" is a traditional tomato and bell pepper stew with baked eggs believed to have been brought from Tunisian Jews to Israel and the Arab lands. The dish's name comes from the berber word for "mixture". Be sure and try our sweet cornbread Benedicts with smoked pork belly or sautéed spinach and avocado.
