Carrie W. Grant

Carrie W. Grant is Chief Nurse and Operations Executive (CNE) at Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando. She is a member of the Executive Cabinet, reporting to Nemours President and Chief Executive Officer, R. Lawrence Moss, MD. In this role, she establishes and supports the vision for nursing care and standards for nursing practice and other clinical operational services for Nemours. Carrie brings to Nemours a wealth of experience, notably as a nurse leader with a 25-year background in nursing, health care operations, education finance, case management and bedside clinical care. She joined Nemours from Intermountain Healthcare's Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, where she served the 289-bed, academic Level I trauma center as CNO. There she led all inpatient-nursing services, pediatric organ transplant programs, the ACS accredited trauma program, pediatric and neonatal flight services, the office of patient experience, and more. Her responsibilities also included an additional 70 beds across four community hospital pediatric units in the state. Prior to that CNO role, she led the charge as nurse administrator and served as director of pediatric education services for Intermountain Healthcare. Carrie has a solid background in continuous improvement, working in a mature high-reliability organization with experience in just culture, and leadership of patient and staff quality and safety initiatives. She is passionate about safety, evidence based practice, and relationship centered team based care to improve patient and associates experiences. Carrie received a Master of Business Administration degree at Brigham Young University, a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of North Florida and an ADN/ASN from Florida Community College in Jacksonville, Fla. Carrie also participated in a Masters of Nursing Education Certificate program at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. She currently serves on the Ronald McDonald House Charities board and contributes to the work of the Institute for Healthcare Excellence. Catherine M. Bonuccelli

Catherine M. Bonuccelli, MD, was born in Washington, D.C. She received her undergraduate degree, with honors, from Georgetown University. Dr. Bonuccelli graduated from Johns Hopkins Medical School and completed her internship and residency at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. She later completed a clinical pediatric fellowship at Hopkins' Eudowood Division of Pediatric Respiratory Sciences. Dr. Bonuccelli was Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine where she was Associate Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center and established a new clinical division within the Department of Pediatrics, including a provision of sleep studies, documented home apnea monitoring, pulmonary function and bronchoscopy services. In 1994, Dr. Bonuccelli joined Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals as Assistant Director of Pulmonary Therapeutics. Since then, she has held positions as Medical Director of the Medical Research Group, and U.S. Drug Development Business Strategist. Currently, she is Global Vice President for Symbicort, Astra Zeneca's largest respiratory brand with global responsibility for product strategy and execution worldwide. Dr. Bonuccelli joined the Nemours Board of Managers, Delaware, in 2006. She has worked in healthcare strategy for over 20 years, ranging across the provider, payor and life sciences sectors. Cindy was named by Becker's Hospital Review in 2017, 2016 and 2015 as one of the top 130 women hospital and health system leaders to know in the United States, as one of Delaware Today's 2017 Top Women in Business Honorees, and she is a TEDx Speaker. Cindy has more than 25 years of healthcare expertise in strategic planning, business development, mergers and acquisitions, and finance transformation, and has worked with industry leaders to improve the viability of healthcare delivery and management of population health. In the Nemours Delaware Valley (DV) she manages the strategies, business development processes, and strategic clinical and vendor partnerships that support new growth and integration opportunities, driving the business planning process for clinical services and programs. Some of the key programs she has developed include the Perinatal / Advanced Delivery Program. Centers of National Prominence strategic plans. Luminary Programs. the opening of Nemours Ambulatory Care Centers such as Glen Mills; and practice acquisitions to grow primary care in the DV. She currently oversees International Strategy, Community Engagement and the Office of Health Equity and Inclusion. As a co-founder of the Value-Based Services Organization in 2017, she continues to work with the VBSO to advance the transition to value.
