Dr Paul Adams - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Founding Director
Now a Rural Generalist Doctor practicing in Queensland, Paul began in the medical field as a Metropolitan Advanced Care Paramedic. He has had longstanding interest to investigate improvement to rural and remote aeromedical care through powered lift aviation. In 2015 he led a collaborative group of professionals to apply for grant funding. This and other intellectual content was published as an ebook in 2017, and persistence led to the subsequent completion of an informal literature review. A smaller team published this as another book in 2019, and it was launched at a community event in Longreach. Paul's work is recognised globally, and Proprotor was founded to continue it.

Sandra Cowley

Job Titles:
  • Secretary
As a Critical Care Paramedic, with close to three decades of experience, Sandra is passionate about delivering the best care to all patients in need. With a Master of Health Science, a Graduate Diploma of Intensive Care Management, and a Graduate Certificate of Ambulance Management, Sandra's achievements are all ambulance focused. With the breadth of experience in many roles, this demonstrates a flexibility to focus core activity to all patients. The advice she was given early in her career, she still uses today. It was, if you can honestly reflect at the end of the day and know in your heart you did the very best for every person and patient you have attended, then you know you have done your best. It is with this drive, Sandra strives for improving all situations. Viewing the potential for powered lift through many first-hand experiences, Sandra has been involved with the company since 2016. She was intensely involved in completing the book Powered Lift for Australian Aeromedicine. Amongst her non ambulance achievements, includes completing her goal of finishing an ultra-marathon, and a significant number of half marathons. Through this drive of pushing through barriers, Sandra sets out to achieve her goals.
