FARTHINGHOEMAGNOLIAS

The village can be traced back to 1086 when the Domesday book refers to it as Ferningeho, although evidence has been found to indicate occupation during prehistoric and Roman times. It has also been referred to as Faringho (12th Century), Farnyngho and Farthingho as late as the 1820s. It was designated as a conservation area in 1978, denoting the village as an area of historic and architectural interest. We have a population of just over 400...
