Alex leads NanoLayr's team of technicians and engineers to meet global demands. He maximizes production efficiency and assures a timely production schedule. Along with our Operations Director, he has successfully streamlined practice like Six Sigma/Lead and Artificial Intelligence into NanoLayr's nanofibre manufacturing process and commercialization in many sectors.
With significant growth over the past year, Andrew brings a wealth of experience in both manufacturing and life sciences to ably steer the strategic direction of the company, and maximize value for its shareholders.
Andrew trained as a Chemical and Process Engineer and then spent 12 years in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical Industries in the UK. His experience spanned manufacturing, engineering, business development and R&D. He was a Director and part of the executive management team that executed a successful turnaround of a small, fully integrated, speciality pharmaceutical company (Allergy Therapeutics plc) and subsequent listing on the London Stock Exchange.

Blaine holds an MBioEnt (First Class Honours) and BSc (Neuroscience) from the University of Auckland. With 10 years of experience working with and within early-stage technology companies in the biotech, healthcare, cleantech, and functional food sectors, Blaine has extensive experience in technology, IP, and risk assessment, financial modelling, valuation & returns analysis, market validation, and project management.
With his expertise, Blaine has successfully streamlined tools like Six Sigma/Lead and AI into NanoLayr's nanofibre manufacturing process and commercialization in many sectors. This is just the start of automation of traditional manufacturing and industrial practices for NanoLayr.

Bio
David is a true advocate for NZ tech businesses, offering a wealth of experience for the commercialisation of world-leading, breakthrough NZ technologies. David commented, "NanoLayr (formerly) Revolution Fibres had been on Movac's radar for a few years as it has a strong competitive advantage around its intellectual property, both patents and trade secrets."
David joined Movac in 2006 and has been a General Partner on its last three funds. His current directorships include NanoLayr, Mint Innovation, Coretex and Timely. Previously, David leads Movac's investment into PowerByProxi through to its exit to Apple Inc in 2017. David started his career in software, worked as program director on enterprise solutions, then as a management consultant for Deloitte and, before joining Movac, co-founded 3 software companies.
Dean comes into NanoLayr to apply his knowledge to helping the NanoLayr deliver in an environment of rapid growth and a multitude of opportunities; his primary goal is to focus the team on the most important of those opportunities and ensure that the team and the NanoLayr technology deliver on their collective promise as an integral and respected part of a successful organisation.

Iain Hosie is the co-founder of NanoLayr. He has been deeply involved in nanofibre production, development and innovation since 2008 and have personally led the business as a managing director from a start-up to a scaled-up globally recognised nanofibre manufacturer.
Iain focuses on the forefront of textiles innovation and the whole RD&I team to ensure platform development. He is passionate about unlocking the potential of nanofibre and helps to provide scientific insights into the endless possible applications with nanofibre technology.

James Chong brings his expertise in entrepreneurship from the Bioscience to the commercial team at NanoLayr. He has contributed to the successful launch of NanoLayr's Life Science platform DermaLayr. Fostering DermaLayr innovation to enter the Asia Pacific market, defining strategic goals, liaising with current business partners and stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities and keeping up to date with the ever-changing cosmetic market trends.
His extensive, nanofibre industry experience with clear in-market insights is here to uncover new growth for the Life Sciences sector of NanoLayr, whilst extending the DermaLayr profile to provide market insights into this endless possible application with nanofibre technology.
James holds a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and a masters in Bioscience Enterprise and has a professional experience in consultation, sales and strategic planning.

Naveen is a technologist with an excellent grounding in science. He adeptly bridges science and engineering to complete business interests, develop processes and convey complex product development concepts in a comprehensive but thorough form. He joined NanoLayr as Production Engineer in 2016 and was promoted to Production Manager in 2018. Elevated to Product Development Manager in 2020, Naveen has been key in NanoLayr's technology development, production efficiency and rapid increase of production capacity to support growing demand.

Ray brings over 15 years of senior commercial experience in leading a range of NZ export-focused technology businesses towards high-growth outcomes through both disruptive commercial models and strategy planning.
Ray sets clear definitions of success and translates these into tangible commercially-focused outcomes by leading businesses towards strategic objectives. Ray have a proven track record of leading of award-winning and fast-growing businesses across his career to date and was part of the executive management team awarded the Fastest Growing Exporter in the Deloitte/Unlimited Fast 50 following 2700% growth over 3 years (IBEX Group) to a T/O of $75M annually.
Ray monitors industry structure to ensure NanoLayr offer remains relevant and align with the mission, vision and positioning. The company has over 400% growth over 2020 alone. This is just the beginning of our journey.
Richard brings a wealth of manufacturing and process improvements knowledge from within, Automotive, Engineering, Nutraceutical & Printing industries. He is looking to leverage from this diverse manufacturing background to assist the continual growth of Nanolayr to lead the world in electrospinning technology. His motivation comes from being able to make a tangible difference to teams and processes.

Sin Jat brings over 12 years of experience in engineering and technology investments and commercialisation in the cleantech, health, IT sectors with his roles as Senior VP at GRC SinoGreen Fund III and former General Partner of iGlobe Treasury.
Having previously worked with the Singapore government in promoting R&D and its commercialisation, Sin Jat has built up a strong background working with technology and bringing R&D practice to commercialisation. Sin Jat holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a Bachelor of Engineering from the National University in Singapore.
