FreeTheMind is an organization that strives to address the stigma associated with mental health by raising awareness about its importance. Often, topics of mental health are perceived with negative connotations, and thus, it is very important to encourage open conversation. Unfortunately, many people fall victim to mental health but are often unable to access appropriate resources for help, either due to the lack of awareness or the fear of being labeled in society. The primary goal of this organization is to tackle these barriers and emphasize how mental health is just as important as physical health... As a group, we are comprised of passionate volunteers across the province of Ontario, who share a similar vision of ameliorating the quality of life of individuals suffering from mental illnesses.
