With over 50 years of service, Gowanda Ambulance was founded in 1961 as a volunteer organization then Incorporated in 1963 as a non-for-profit 501 3c. Over the years Gowanda Ambulance Service has held on strong providing care and eventually switching over to paid staff in 2010. Today Gowanda Ambulance Service provides 24/7 Paramedic level ambulance service to the Towns of Collins, Dayton, Persia, Perrysburg, and the Village of Gowanda. Gowanda Ambulance also provides mutual aid advanced life support to other ambulances when needed... We provide quality emergency medical care to the people of Collins, Dayton, Persia, Perrysburg, and Gowanda. We also provide ALS fly car response to the Village of Cattaraugus and surrounding areas... Our experienced staff is qualified to provide training in American Heart Association courses, including CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and International Trauma Life Support.
