HEALTHY BISBEE

Our mission is to provide better access to healthy food, to reduce food waste and provide better access to social and harm reduction resources in the Bisbee Community... Healthy Bisbee began with one mans call to do more for the community he just moved to. in 2013, Dan Maldonado moved to Bisbee and was looking for a positive way to be productive. After seeing an older couple providing meals to people in need, Dan felt called to do the same. Thus, Goar Park Lunches was born. He used his own money to provide free brown bag lunches, twice a week. After a year of doing this, he began accumulating more donations and volunteers. After two years of prepping and cooking meals in his moms kitchen, Dan and the Goar Park Lunch project were offered an opportunity to use a commercial kitchen at the Royale.
