Cecilia Landa-Avila

Cecilia Landa-Avila is a Research Assistant in Healthcare Systems Design/Human Factors in IMMUNE and a Doctoral Researcher at Loughborough University. She is the co-founder of RELAESA, a Latin American network of Ergonomics and Human Factors in Healthcare Systems. Cecilia's interest is in integrating systems thinking, ergonomics/human factors, participatory design and policymaking in healthcare systems design. Her doctoral research focused on the interactions of multiple outcomes and values of healthcare to drive a participatory systems approach. Before joining Loughborough University, Cecilia was a full-time Assistant Professor at Universidad Panamericana (Guadalajara, Mexico), conducting research in assistive technologies for children with learning disabilities. Her experience includes collaborated on "Powering Productivity" (Research Associate), an ESRC funded project (Loughborough University and the University of Surrey) that mapped the links between energy, wellbeing and productivity. Cecilia has worked for six years as a user experience researcher for tech companies and the Mexican government.

Corina-Elena Niculaescu

Dr Gyuchan Thomas Jun

Dr Gyuchan Thomas Jun is Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at School of Design and Creative Arts, Loughborough University, UK and a Chartered Ergonomist and Human Factors Specialist. He is a design educator/researcher/facilitator and an award-winning animation/film producer working in a broad field of human factors design, complex system/service design, design for behaviour change and system safety. His expertise is in integrating systems thinking, design thinking and resilience thinking into complex system/service design/development.

Isabel Sassoon

Co Investigator Isabel Sassoon is a Lecturer in Computer Science (Data Science) at Brunel University, and a Visiting Researcher in the Department of Informatics at King's College London. Isabel's research interests are in data-driven automated reasoning, and its transparency and explainability. Her PhD research developed a computational argumentation-based system to support the appropriate selection of statistical model given a research objective and available data. More recently as part of the Modelling and Simulation research group at Brunel Isabel has been worked on Flu and Coronavirus Simulations. As part of the CONSULT project Isabel focused on the analysis and integration of different data (clinical, EHR and wellness sensor data), as well as the development of the automated reasoning in support of providing personalised recommendations to patients.

Ozlem Colak

Ozlem Colak is a Research Assistant in Experience/User-centred Design for the IMMUNE project, and a PhD Candidate at Loughborough University. Ozlem's research interests are in air transport management and tourism with a focus on airports, and qualitative research methods. Her doctoral research investigates airport business models in the face of a demand shock, while exploring the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on airport business models in the UK through qualitative interviews, and develops a resilient business model for the industry. Before joining the PhD research in Loughborough University, Ozlem received her MSc in Air Transport Management from University of Surrey in the UK (Department of Tourism and Transport, The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management) and obtained her bachelor's degree in Air Transport Management from Kocaeli University in Turkey. Ozlem has experiences at various jobs and projects in the aviation industry from airport and ground handling to aviation training, research and event planning.

Tina Harvey

Tina Harvey is a Research Assistant in Communications and Public Engagement for the IMMUNE project and a Senior Research Support Officer, project managing REF (Research Excellence Framework) as well as assisting in the delivery of the schools Research Strategy at Loughborough University. Tina's interests include research on Hepatology, Autism and Alzheimer's. Before joining Loughborough University, Tina was an Executive Assistant at AstraZeneca and the Medical Research Council as well as a Communications Officer for Leicestershire Constabulary.
