In 1995 Darlene Catan and Marian Gardiner decided to combined their years of hospitality experience to form a hotel and DMC representation company and since they both had specialized in the Insurance and financial markets while working in their respective hotels they created Insurance Meeting Network and focused on the industry they knew the best! Darlene's career started in New York City working with Hilton International, InterContinental New York Barclay and The Stanhope Hope Hotel. Darlene left New York to move to Orlando, Florida to be a part of the pre-opening team for the new resort The Villas of Grand Cypress at the Grand Cypress Resort and became their Director of Sales. Throughout her hotel career Darlene worked in all departments within a hotel to give her a very in depth knowledge of the inner- workings of a Union and non-Union Hotel. Marian's career began in Bethesda, Maryland and from there headed to San Diego and was the Director of Insurance Sales at the La Costa Resort and Spa. After return to the East Coast Marian began representing several independent hotels and The Posada Hotel Group of Mexico and Fiesta Americana Hotel and Resort Hotel Company that is still apart of our portfolio 26 years later! Working together Marian and Darlene bring their knowledge of the hospitality and DMC industry together with their understanding of the Insurance and Financial sector which insures that we can assist our clients in achieving their meeting goals and objectives.
