JAMB PATCH

Our second product introduction was the Jamb Patch. The Jamb Patch is designed to replace the rusted portions of steel door frames. A common misconception about steel frame rust is that it results from salt attack, corroding from the outside-in. However, these frames rust from the inside-out due to moisture sitting in direct contact with the steel at the bottom of the frame jambs. This is why rust almost always appears first at the bottom of the frame. The Jamb Patch is designed to allow a simple, cost-effective repair of only the corroded portion of the frame, saving thousands of dollars per opening.
